  7. Hello all, want to knock 40mm off the ride height on my 16v, but dont really want to compromise ride comfort, so firstly i'm assuming its ok to drop 40mm using standard shocks, and secondly, any ideas on part no's/prices for 4 new shocks from VW? Or do GSF supply them and are they any good? Also seen some unipart shocks on the bay brand new goin cheap. Anyone had any experience of these? Thanks in advance... :D
  8. Just had a Janspeed S1 fitted to my 16v, they've had a lot of slating on here because the tailpipes not oval, they're too loud etc etc, but i have to say i'm well pleased, it doesnt sound in the slightest boy racerish, the twin pipes fit nicely into the aperture of the rear bumper, and there are no knocking/rattling/rubbing issues. So, for a less expensive system, i'd reccomend it. Hats off to Midland VW for the quality fit/service. If your near the West Mids area, you really cannot go wrong there. Free plug to Jody at Midland VW 01543 495700.
  9. So, from months worth of bored work hours, trawling thru old threads, I have learnt that a) sponges are bad, and b) so are car washes. I assume that we are talkin about the drive thru type? My question is this, are jet-washes capable of damaging paintwork? I use the local one each sunday, being too idle to get the lambswool and bucket out...

  18. Really sorry to hear this mate, it really is the last thing you need right now. You MUST seek representation, even if is only to settle your mind about the actual contents of the will. Your Fathers partner will be shooting herself in the foot if she does try to destroy the will so you cant read it, as she will have no legal evicence of the contents therein. Importantly, if your Dad wasnt married to his partner, then this changes the whole situation. Best wishes anyway. I hope its resolved soon....
  19. Got a great mental image of Gwen Stefani's valves now.... Mmmmmm......
