  1. Nah that's not my old one, she lives in Kent now, and had a late bonnet.
  2. Almost makes me miss my old Tornado!! Looking good mate.
  3. Looks good mate, welcome to VR ownership! :D
  4. I did, but they only offered a 12 month warranty so i'm stuck with it - noticed that my barge plate has got acne as well now and they did that at the same time :censored: Cars getting a re-sprayed next month so i'll see what the guy thinks and may just bite the bullet and get a new wing put on . . . Good luck then mate, hope it sorts out easily enough.
  5. Ah sorry, maybe from the fuseboard then? Fuel pump feed maybe?
  6. Finally fitted dynamat to both front doors, replaced the leaky passenger door membrane, and lubed up the passenger door handle mech, before it broke.
  7. The slight cutoff is due to the affected circuits running through a cross control relay, to allow maximum power to get to the starter motor. I believe the permanent live to your stereo (the one that allows your radio to save station presets etc) doesn't route through that relay, so should be ok to use if you want an uninterrupted permanent live HTH Matt.
  8. Haha!! News of the World: "Jesus spotted in car dent shocker"
  9. Yan couldn't make it on the Sunday we took those... :( We should make the effort and get a good shot with all 8 of us in...
  10. Just noticed today's banner pic! Forza ftw!! :D
  11. Dunno then dude, either way, not too fussed, thankfully I'm not footing the bill!
  12. I see, so kind of "porting and polishing" then? Had never heard the term, seems obvious now you've explained it though. Ta for the info!
  13. If thats the torque from a standard 1.4 then i'm amazed!! Corrado 1.4?!?! :camp:  Stock 1.4 twin charger produces 125kW at 6k rpm and 240Nm of torque from 1750 to 4500 rpm. Very nice amount of torque! Consider my words eaten!! So what's this "blueprinting" all about then?
  14. Fantastic news Yan!! All the hard work has finally paid off! What shows are we likely to see this at this year? Would love a closer look round it! 8)
  15. A smooth cat is def the way forward... :norty:
  16. Is it actually the Cat or just the heatshield that bolts to the underside of it? If its the shield I think you can just remove it. (Just don't park in any long dry grass afterwards  )
  17. If thats the torque from a standard 1.4 then i'm amazed!! Corrado 1.4?!?! :camp:
  18. Went in on Tuesday, no luck, discontinued. The bloke at the desk gave me a few numbers to try of dealers that have been listed as having a few left in stock, so all may not be lost. Looked like they were £16 + VAT each so I'll give them a try. If not its the scrappy unfortunately :( go find a C looking sorry for itself. Jim Bummer. :( Good luck with the search mate! One'll turn up!
  19. Nice figures! That much low down torque, it must be an oil burner?
  20. All I can say is my Main Dealer insisted the wing was 109.55 Inc VAT, late style passenger side. Give Willenhall VW a call and see what he says. 01902 608773. The parts guy looked up the wing on ETKA as I was standing in front of him, and even double checked after I asked if he was sure on the price (I expected it to be much more too) so I'm sure it's not the price for a pattern part. Jim, she's going in Mon 12th, not long to wait now! Managed to get hold of crack free replacement fogs and O/S indicator too so it'll be a full face lift for the old girl!! Chuffed!! Woodsy, it's a main dealer she's going to for that very reason. Bet you're gutted? How long ago was it? Could you take it back to them?
  21. Gorgeous!!! :luvlove: Love the reg plate too.
  22. AFAIK mate, no non Corrado seats sit low enough in the cab to be useful, MK2 Golf etc have to be adapted using Corrado subframes. HTH Matt
  23. The dreaded Assesor has approved Vera's repair this morning, so she's booked in to my Main Dealer for a new wing, bumper repair and paint, and paint blend into the passenger door next Monday, hire car also arranged at no cost!! Might be a bit cheeky on Monday and ask the guy in the bodyshop (thoroughly nice chap) if he'd be prepared to sort the other couple of carpark dings down the sides too, If you don't ask you don't get eh?! :D Roll on Monday!!!
