Hi I am trying to figure how to set up a test equipment to test an ISV on the bench. What makes it buzz. When it is buzzing, is it open ? When on the car, when can I hear the click when it closes or opens ?

Hi Are both cars KR engine? If you are getting a spark from the coil to the dizzy and NOT to the plugs, then either the carbon brush is missing from inside the dizzy OR the tip of the rotor arm is not touching the 4 metal contacts inside the dizzy OR all the leads are corroded inside.
-
Hi Please put up a picture, a bird's eye view of under the bonnet.
-
Hi What do you call the vacuum advance ? And where have you plugged it ?
-
Hi Thanks all. Are you sure the vacuum switch (diaphragm pressure switch) is to control the cut-off valve. I thought it was to enrich the fuel mixture when cranking the engine at -35C.
-
Hi Tried the search in vain. On a 1991 1.8 16v KR, where is the control unit located, that controls idle and overrun cutoff.
-
