  1. I'm glad someone carried on my statement, I did wonder if i was being too subtle...
  2. No, honestly, I'm sure cutting a wheel in half and welding a huge piece of steel in the middle is perfectly safe and they will be weighted properly and not have any heavy or light spots..... :D its a pity, they look cool but i just don't trust em.
  3. Well when that happened obviously I lost all sideways selection and could only get 3rd and 4th, so maybe yours is just badly cracked and bending, not giving the full movement. Oh and a new bit from VW is about 12 quid and 10 minutes of swearing to fit.
  4. Well she obviously admires your skill at pulling birds. You should have stuffed and mounted that bird as a trophy.
  5. i'd go with this, i had the same problem. As you look at the gearbox there are 2 cables and its the one on the left. the pic in my members thread shows it broken. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=64087&start=36 also in the wiki there is a guide for adjusting the cables if it isn't cracked/shorn http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=75738

    supra~!

corrados can be both Left and right hand drive can't they? :confused4: too clarify, corrado you dont see much no where near the number off today mass produced cars thus they are rare sooo importing RHD is a little more exotic then LHD. Friend of mine has RHD skyline imported from uk, and everyone goes what da :D got it? Yup. But your mate's Skyline would have come from Japan originally as they only sold about 10 over here offically. Why not import a RHD Corrado and be supercool? 8)
  7. When I was at the Stealth RR day they recommended the TT 225 sparks iirc. Perhaps give Vince a quick tinkle. Then give him a bell. Then give him a telephone call.
  8. 100 laps! You guys are nuts, I get bored after 10! Plus i've found out I'm seriously cack online...i just can't get my cars fast enough. any hints and tips?
  9. Some good photos there Jamin, makes me wanna go again. I can't wait for the 25th Anniversary meet (if there is one) as the 20th was such a blast. The Speedlines look really good, I'm running them on my VR atm too, bog standard is the new stretch! 8)
  10. I may be talking complete @rse but I thought Corrados had a basic crossover for the fronts? Remove that for the pods and you'll get bass.

    MPG

Lambda would show up on vagcom. Calliper does not smell, I had one myself and did wonder about the rather poor mpg, but i blamed that more on the supercharger. I think it would only occasionally bind as well. The only way to tell is get a brake test done. But its not like your mpg is waaaayyy down or anything, it could just be your drving style Gaz! :D

    MPG

Sticky calliper? Poor lambda? Having followed you in convoy I know why!
  15. Amateurs....what a bummer dude. Not even worth claiming for either. :(
  16. So, basically its going back to the old days of small engines and massive turbos. Which they banned....

    Coilovers

Preaty much the same but had mine on for 2 months now and still going strong ( touch wood  ) £140 raceland coilover for a mk3, I must admit the ride is a little hard but they ent going to be a perminent soloution. Check your top mounts and bushes in a few months... that stiffness gets transferred thru all the rubber (oo-er missus). i went thru a set of top mounts in less than a year, and that was on weitecs! mind you, the roads round my way are diabolical as i live on top of a massive chalk hill. they're more rut than road :(
  18. Not up for the endurance race, but add me as your friend. OneManAndHisDub 8)
  19. Ah sorry, it was RETARDED, tho he is selling turbo bits. this is the thread...Holset HX83 http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=299062
  20. Yeah, I think it was a Holset the guy had. He's called RETARDED. :)
  21. Deffo agree with that - the amount of VR's I have VAGCOM'd for new or potential owners and found cam sensors down and / or lambda / ignition faults - I think people buy them and they still seem fast to what they have had previously at 160BHP with batch injection. The other problem is as the cars get older people seem to skimp on servicing and independant garages also get confused between the G40 and G28 fault codes etc. Every RR day I've been to at Stealth someone turns up with a 160BHP VR, Vince doesn't even have to plug it in to know what's up with it! Don't forget Lambda faults and sticking rear brakes too!

I take it you are probably looking at "51" or "01" plates? Got any examples?
