  1. Ok - cheers bud, I will have a good look this weekend.
  2. Unless you use something thick enough to effectively wedge between the two faces? Which in my case wouldnt be thick at all as there is very little room!
  3. Im pretty sure mine is aligned correctly..but I will check. What do you use to clamp the silicone hose to the axle?
  4. Cheers mate, I only realised this once I'd removed the whole hanger. Ended up beating the two ends with a chisel and unpicking the weld to release the bar and fit the new rubber. Didnt fix the problem though. I'm pretty sure Jim is right re ride height vs exhaust alignment though. Jim, will go with your advice - is clearly what the garage thought best (easiest), although they just executed it poorly. Jubilee clip sounds like the best way to secure it to the rear beam and im pretty sure Halfords sell rubbers for about £1.
  5. Rubbers seem fine..I changed the one closest to the rear recently but it wasnt easy..I had to unpick a weld with a small chisel as the bar that the rubber hangs from to was welded at each end to the unit that bolts onto the bottom of the car, so I presume you need to change the whole hanger with rubber already attached? Maybe jubilee clip to the rear beam might work!!
  6. Have used the search but cant find the answer. My miltek knocks on the rear beam of my VR and it is starting to drive me mad! Took it to a garage who cut up a rubber exhust mount and wedged it between the beam and the pipe (worked for about 20 minutes!) Any other ideas? Thanks

A mouthful of milk could come in handy for a cup of tea...2 sheets of bog roll though is just useless ;)

His response: ''My opinion mate, and to wind up other vR6 owners as we all like to think ours is the best. Laters'' What a charmer!

I just asked him ''what makes this the best VR6 out there?'' - can't wait to hear the response! :D
  12. Whats the latest on the passenger wing?
  13. Fair enough on the bumpers, although im sure that interest vs. someone offering full asking price means that under forum rules latter should prevail, but im not going to make a fuss. However, cant see any posts about the wings?
  14. Ok, I'll take the passenger wing & both bumpers providing they are clean, no rust and scratch free?
  15. Re-opened because you are now breaking the car??
  16. I enjoy the odd whisky or two, with Laphroaig as a personal favourite. http://www.laphroaig.com/ And I'm definitely an Ale man (Pride, Doom Bar, TEA, Badger) over lager etc! I used to live above a country pub for 3 years and by the time I left was fairly well educated in the world of beer!
  17. I agree Jim - the discounts seem good, but i hadnt quite appreciated how much it would cost all in. The fact is, best case it will cost £743.20 and worst case its £905.49 - and simply put, i dont have that much spare cash!
  18. Welcome to VR ownership. Looks tidy - the only thing I dont like is the rear lights...but looks like your heading the right direction wanting a more OEM look - all red rears looks the business!
  19. Well id up my offer to asking price?? ---------- Post added at 1:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:36 PM ---------- Appreciate that Kev, as above Id go to asking.
  20. £30 posted and you have a deal..
  21. FYI - the above are Speedlines not Solitudes. GLWS
