  1. What do you call GOOD suspension? - I have KW V1s, and have completely overhauled the running gear and still find it rattles a lot and can be a bit crashy. Im guessing KW V1s dont fall into the 'good suspension' category although I remember reading a lot of recommendations for them on here.
  2. Thats a good list. i'm swaying towards s3/s4 or the bmw route, but my mind changes almost by the hour! ---------- Post added at 02:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:19 PM ---------- I feel your pain!
  3. Jim and Dave..if I could justify having a daily then i'd probabably agree. Unfortunately I cant! ---------- Post added at 11:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:04 PM ---------- And if R32 engines and turbos were feasible then Kev and Andy i'd definitely stick with the rado. As it stands I cant afford to put too much more money into mine, and so I'm considering something different (although part of me really doesnt want to sell mine) so im just interested to hear what else other people would recommend or consider other than a Corrado.
  4. Essentially if I sell the corrado I want something that is still fun but can be used daily. As the rado stands at the moment, I dont rate it for daily use and really I cant justify the expense of a second car. I've considered a few BMWs, although dont think I could settle for a smaller engine, would need to be a 330 or 540 or something similar. Also thought of the R32 route, but still quite pricey for a good example. Currently enjoying the prospect of a well looked after S3 but still very much open minded...IF i sell.
  5. If you had up to £5k to spend on a car, and it were to be your only car (i.e not just a weekend toy) and it wasnt a corrado..what would it be and why?
  6. ''A mechanic walked in pretending to jerk himself off when he looked at the car so I took that as a compliment!'' Amazing!
  7. Worth pointing out that I swapped over the locks from the old handle to the replacement - could this have somehow affected the CL?

  10. Unfortunately it wasnt the striker that broke, as it happens the old handle already has one of daves16v repair kits. ---------- Post added at 08:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:06 PM ---------- Yes perhaps, hope not as only got the handle last week. ---------- Post added at 08:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:07 PM ---------- Yeah I saw that, thanks. I will have a good look at the wiring again on the weekend ---------- Post added at 08:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:08 PM ---------- Will check but it wouldnt work from the second i plugged it in, so doubt the cable has been caught or anything similar. To be fair the cable looks in v.good condition, especially by where it meets the handle so will check the wiring lower down. Thanks
  11. Yes, previous passenger handle locked the car before the swap. ---------- Post added at 01:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:36 PM ---------- Yes connector is plugged in! I'm guessing the wiring is the issue. What im getting at though, is if the wiring is dead/broken/faulty, would the drivers side still lock the passenger side (which it does!)
  12. Does it really save that much only respraying from windows down? Either way, car looks awesome.
  13. It's second hand, and yes the drivers side locks and unlocks the passenger side!?
  14. Fitted a replacement passenger handle today, it opens the door (which is most important and why it was changed in the first place) but it wont activate the central locking via the passenger key. Previously both locks would activate the central locking - now if i use the passenger side lock, it only unlocks that door. Faulty connector? Would turning the key in the drivers side unlock the passenger door too if the connector was faulty? Thanks
  15. Part no.s for the powerflex front bushes for the VR: PFF85-201 They retail at £21.06 each I think, but got mine for £29.99 for the pair on ebay via Demontweeks
  16. I have recently done the R32 rears and powerflex front combo - worth doing
  17. Hey bud, yeah I was quite shocked when I put the list together, especially considering how OEM it still looks (but thats a good thing in my eyes) Next is either more power (forced induction) or maybe sell her. Part of me wants something new/different, but the other part cant bear to think of selling. But its been 4 years now and I have done almost everything I wanted to do when I first bought her, and have enjoyed every second of both the work and driving her..will have a good think first though. In the meantime I suppose I'd listen to sensible offers. ---------- Post added at 06:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:01 PM ---------- Following a long chat with the Mrs I am putting the car up for sale
