It's not looking good Simon, the car is currently sorn and the MOT expired in Jan 2013, which is when the last MOt I put it through would have run out Since getting divorced I've toy'd with the idea of getting a project corrado, tired motorbikes but after putting myself in hospital last year I've decided they're not for me!!
-
I bought a complete IHI turbo'd engine from Junkie. It was running standalone management. Mine was a VF22 turbo on a big valve head, to say it was insane was an understatement!!
-
Hiya Troy, great to see your Corrado is being given another lease of life! I sold mine a couple of years ago and miss it, currently driving an Edition 30 golf, not as much fun as the rado!
-
Thread revival!! Since selling the Corrado I honestly have thought about it weekly. Does anyone have any info on it? Is it still running??
-
Is my car still going? Over a year since I let her go and still missing it like crazy!!
-
I know! I'm really trying to fight off the idea of getting another. I'd love mine back, but I wouldn't mind another g60!

Has anybody seen my old car :( I think it headed over to Birmingham way. Been in afghan for the last few months and have been thinking if the new owner wants to sell it back to me :D
-
Set a reminder for it ;)
-
:( I sold mine at the beginning of the year. Thanks to a new job I couldn't run mine anymore. This looks great! I wish I would have taken mine on a track.

Look good at shows/off the road but not on the road. As said above, Not worth the £60 fine

As some of you may have seen, I have decided to finally art company with my Corrado. I have just started a new job and will be living away from home during the week. With the journey backwards and forwards I wanted something a little newer and more comfy! So I picked this up a 2003 Leon Cupra R on saturady. Comes with a few choice mods, Revo stage 2, ARB's, FMIC and loads others! Private plates will be going back to the original ower once the DVLA sort themselves out!

Measure your discs, I would have though if you have 5x100 hubs then you should have 280mm discs, maybe even 288mm. If you wanted to go for even bigger you could go for the TT/S3 312mm calipers and disc, or even Leon Cupra R 4 pot brembos with 323mm discs to suit.
-
Are they standard wheels or on adaptor/spacers? Should be 4x100 on a G.
-
Have you had the charger ported? This should be your first mod really and then once that been run in then look at a smaller pulley and chip to suit.
-
you'd have to drill the discs. If you wanted 4 pot brembo's on a VR6 then get a set of Leon Cupra R's. 323mm discs to suit. Edit: You'd need to space them 6mm too. Not sure but you may get away with a 288mm disc with these.

I'd like to say I'm shock but could see this coming. I've had good and bad service from them, but I think for G60 owners they went down hill after moving into air ride/Rotiform Hopefully Darren will bounce back into the G60 world, and stay away from anything too "scene" again.

Best bet would be to replace al your jubillee clips, all that will happen is by replacing the weakest one, the 2nd weakest will fail then. Clean all the joints of any oil misting too.

Car now gone see link in 1st post for new thread

Why dont you offer the car for sale as a whole? Ok, you wont make as much money, but it will save you the time and effort of stripping very little bit off the shell, and then the risk of not selling everything. -

Another decent Corrado bites the dust....... -
I love that twitching feeling under brakes. Obviously not when facing a speed camera
-
I've got some G60 calipers and carriers mate, where about are you based?
-
nope, just rally. I think the VR6 was used was for the VW champs because it met the regulations and a G60 wouldn't due to their age. To be honest I cant think of a G60 being used for any competitive racing.
-
the Golf Rallye's were G60 powered.
-
provided you have the standard 256mm brakes then they should fit.
