  1. 16v ones are noisier than G60 ones, I'd only worry if it really sounds like it's struggling. The 16v one on mine is noisier than my G60 pump but not excessivly
  2. Excellent cheers Simon. You'll have to let me know whens best. The drive to work was much more fun this morning :D Managed to get 15miles to work and it didnt even break!
  3. Nice. Are you keeping both the and the 16vG60?
  4. YAY it's fixed :D Coil pack was the problem. Managed to narrow it down at the weekend. removed the HT lead from the No1 cylinder, to check for a spark and there wasnt one! swapped some of the leads round to see if was leads of coil. It was the coil. Fitted the new one today, about to take it for a test drive to try the new exhaust out too, and finally all 1.5bar of boost
  5. Very nice, An S3 would be top of my list on Corrado replacement cars
  6. cracking idea mate. Your old Rado was (and still is) perfect. :notworthy: i'm sure people will want this level of quality from some one wo's carried it out perviously
  7. had TT's in mine for a while, I'm 6foot and only had a couple od inches above my head.
  8. been looking into my running problem. removed the crank sensor and it was thick with grime, but going to order a new coil pack and some 8mm leads. Other than that, just need to fit my new Jetex exhaust in place of my Milltek. Old milltek on the left 23042010136.JPG[/attachment:3byibym4]
  9. Now my running issue is permanent :mad2: It is definately ignition realated, so thought I would just change everything (leads, coil pack and crank trigger wheel sensor) When I removed the crank sensor, it was covered in crud, so the lense at the front was barely visible. Would this have caused my running problem? or do they either work or not work?
  10. As above, standard G60 rad with a Spal fan and the temp's fine, even during a good thrashing.
  11. Very nice, paint work looks superb. I think the quickest way to save weight is to strip out the interior, rear seats, door cards etc. 8)
  12. I thought it would be going through the core, although it could jump onto the metal I guess.
  13. I love the Lambo Doors stickers, just in case you need reminding  Saying that, it's a tidy first car for someone.
  14. I've just got an electric shock off the HT leads. It was from the metal end that goes over the plugs. Should this part of the lead be live or have I potentially found my problem  Edit: it wasnt connected to my the plug at the time, I'd taken it off to see if it made any difference to my running problem.
  15. Surely all colours are about the same as they travel (we see them) at the speed of light.
  16. Nice one Yan, The new ECU plan sounds pretty cool, like to hear how you get on with it.
  17. Well she's off on Sunday to be sorted, I'm able to leave it there all week so they have a couple of morning to look at the cold map. Also have a Jetex system on it's way, so now have no worries about my restrictive Milltek. Cant wait til next weekend now to pick her up and be able to thrash the ar$e off her
  18. It is do-able, can get me and my mates in the back of mine (both full Sussers), I normally take out the rear seat bases and the seats lay pretty flat then. Wheels off and seat posts out or dropped right down, and it's in. Just get an old duvet or sheet to stop scratching and damage 8)
  19. So the windows dont work with the door closed, but do with it open? Sounds like a wiring fault to me in the door loom (where the door hinges)
  20. Always let the pump prime itself, even if it cuts out trying to cold start. Is the cold start issue a map problem or is it due to the spec of the engine? On the colder mornings it would really struggle, taking several attemps and then gentle throttle inputs to keep it idling. It would also run noticeably cooler (water 80 degree's) Just laid claim to the Innovate on here so hopefully get that fitted and can watch the fuelling that way.
  21. I want to ideally get my hands on a Jetex system as these are 2.5" bore off the shelf. What plugs did you use to run with Simon? I'm just wondering why the G60 plugs have been cooked in less that 1000 miles :(
  22. Yer it could work and i'd be interested to see how it turns out, certainly in a matt finish. It's nice to see someone wanting to do something a little different :salute:
  23. Yeh new plugs arnt in yet and it's sitting there at the moment unloveed :( Corten cant fit it in yet and dont want to fit the plugs without knowing the fuelings ok. I'd love a custom exhaust, just need to find somewhere local that does them (only power flow round here :? ) and I also need to know what I want (one or two box system). Failing that, it's going to be a jetex system instead of my miltek.
  24. Yer, although the spikes in the afr trace are when it was misfiring, so the mixture would be all over the place. I cant get down to James or Jabba anytime soon, and at the moment I cant drive it either in this condition. Corten are going to fit the new plugs (NGK platinum) and put it back on the roller to check the fuelling throughout the boost range. I keep looking on here at the exhaust off the 1.8t that being broken, 2.5" bore and a single box :norty: it's just the 4" tail pipe thats putting me off at the moment.
