Fair enough. Don't fancy another bike? I'm definitely thinking that for myself next year. -

Both great cars, and definitely something I'd be looking at if the 'rado does end up going. What's the issue with the S2? -

Haha! They never really leave! Good on you Graeme. -
Looking good guys. Like the fogs Sean

Always nice getting a new ticket. Well done

I'm thinking of getting on and doing a similar strip down with mine over winter. Having dry space to work is key. If you need a spare pair of hands just give me a shout.

Yeah that'll definitely stop any going out for a drive! Impressive work though.... and flashing a bit of subframe!

Haha! Sorry Bill, he knows I'm only joking.... probably.... ;) No way!?! Only moved to Bottisham myself in February. Should meet up for a pint down the Bell. For the MOT/very basic items I use these guys http://motandservicingdirect.co.uk/ Its run by a friend of mine and he collects the car from home/drops it back etc. For other Corrado specific work I either try to do it myself or book it in at Stealth. Used to use DG Autotech but they are no longer...

Cheers for the birthday wishes guys. The old boy passed his MOT this morning, no advisories, so another 12 months on the ticket.......maybe good time to sell???
-
That looks so good mate. Love it.
-
You've got some serious skills going on mate, progress looking really good!
-
Cheers Bill. Ran of skill in the end.... Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MINCY!!! The old boy is 21 today (first registered 25/8/1994). Thought of baking him a cake, then I remembered we don't currently have an oven..... So I'm going to treat him to an oil, brake fluid and sparkplug service, lucky little devil!

Haha! 'I never forget a pussy...... cat' Welcome!

Top work. Looking really good as well mate. Got my MOT due on Friday, bit worried as I was under it the other day and some of the brake lines aren't looking great.
-
Can't quite see but did that go up over your bonnet? You nut job! I'd have turned back.
-
I've done mine recently and IMO it's definitely a dash out job. You can do it in situ but getting the dash out isn't too bad and makes it so much easier. Plus you can sort any squeaks and rattles as you put it all back... Win win! :thumbleft:

Yeah mines about 60mm lowered, maybe a touch more. I realigned mine the other day, and to be fair I'm not sure I could fit a 3 inch pipe through there!
-
Some great work going on here. Wish I had the skill/tools to undertake such a project. When clearing the rear beam you only need a fingers width between pipe and exhaust heat shield. Too big a gap and the beam will knock once it's back on the ground..... well it does on mine and I'm only running 2.5 inch system!

97 in a 70, what's the probable outcome?
mic_VR replied to Roger Chatfield's topic in Off-topic Chat
A little harsh given some of the fines they seem to give for seemingly worse transgressions but I guess it could've been worse. At least its all over now. -
Nothing to do with the sale but, Lance where are you based? I'm sure I've seen this number plate in the Cambridge/A14 area?

Gotta laugh, can't believe I didn't hit anything. Anyway, full session video. Going round and round etc, plus the slide.
-
Barrelling in too fast and lifting off.....ran out of talent basically!

So took Mincy for a thrashing at Castle Combe on Saturday. Had a fantastic day and he performed admirably if some issues were highlighted by the hard nature of running on track. Suspension was great, roll was well controlled and the change of direction very sharp. Brakes were great but the dot4 boiled on the 4th session so need to upgrade that, and the old compound yellow stuffs were fairly rubbish. With the new pads and upgraded fluid I suspect they'll be even better. Overall a great day, managed to hold my own against a lot of the NA cars but the raft of modern FI machinery was the telling of a 21 year old car as they had the torque to out drag me at most corners. Anyway, had the GoPro on me so took a video in each session. Obviously most of it was me and the car performing admirably..... that or me chatting with Jim/Charlie on the way round.... but I thought you lot would like a short clip. If people want to see the less 'slidy' videos I'll try to get them uploaded.

My folks are in Worlingham, I'll keep an eye out once you're on the road again
