    If you're worried about the TT dual borla, don't. Kev Bacon was running one at 400bhp without any issues. me to mate. might inspire me to actually get on and make a decision about fitting mine!

    I'm a little disappointed it wasn't the ghost of a past Corrado owner. I'm imagining a Jacob Marley style man, shackled by the chains formed in life by the over baring financial and emotional burdens of owning a Corrado......

    Exactly! We're doing up a house at the moment, so this is going to get used and abused. Doesn't the car need to be over 15yrs old and worth at least more than the insurance to be on a classic policy?

    Nah, its an SE I think. 2.5 5pot though, full service history and only 83K on the clock. It's a bus to drive but for £500 and getting the cored off the road, bargain!

    well I'm now the proud(?) owner of a '95 Volvo 850 estate! Insured it separately in the end, when the insurance is up on the 'rado and I've got more time I'll sort the most efficient way of insuring both. Project 'Restore Mincy' can officially start!

    Don't think I can Dox. Mine is so modified a classic policy won't sit I think. I'm also part way through the year. I'll take it on the chin I think, as I'm doing more damage to mine driving it through winter than the overall cost of the banger I guess....

    Cheers mate, I'll give Admiral a try. Mirroring sounds good. I might scrap the plan if it's going to cost me a fortune. I tried HIC, who I insure the Corrado with, but they were unable to help.

    Hi All, after some advice. Planning to get an old banger so I can get the 'rado off the road and do some work on him. But I'm struggling with insurance! I've been offered an old Volvo 850 for £500 but even TPFT I'm having difficulty getting insurance under £300.... which is frankly crazy IMO. Not helping that my NCB (14yrs) is being used on the Corrado so can't carry those over, but I was expecting something slightly more realistic. Anyone got any ideas or advice????
