Haha! Nice one.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but just spotted a red valver in the film Red 2. Just as they land in Paris.

You've got to really love the corrado, that corrado in particular, to pay to store one. If it was me, I'd sell and just get a better one at a later date.... unless you're really attached to the one you've got.

Well the belt runs the water pump so that'll be why it was getting hot. But for the idling, I'd only guess that without any kind of load on the system to overcome it was just revving free so to speak. Don't think you'll have done any damage though provided it didn't get too hot.

Bad day with cam install... think I found the reason.... FIXED & RUNNING.

Jim, I'm not using my car at the moment so I could remove my vdo gauges and sender, send them to you and you could get an idea at least of pressure. Not saying they're 100% correct but might give an indication? -

Slightly off topic but this is on my wish list from Bill http://vr6parts.com/onlinestore/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/661/s/mk3-intake-fuel-pump/ Bad time Jim, have you considered the oil pick up and pump? Could be worth pull the sump and checking all is OK, especially if you're concerned about oil starvation/blockages. Any idea what your oil pressures are like? -
Bad times Dougie, hope you get it sorted quickly. At least if bought for renovation you're hopefully not too attached to the décor? Here we're relatively used to the high winds being on the edge of the Fens but no real experience of any flooding. Feel terrible for all caught up in it, and can't help but think that the government are going to be under pressure again to sort flood defences.... although that said I don't think there is a credible plan being brought in anywhere in the country to tackle this.
-
Only just seen the news whilst having lunch, and looks like some people have been hit hard again by winter flooding. I know there are people on here in the Cumbria area, and I'm sure there are others in southern Scotland/Ireland etc so I hope you're all OK out there and not too badly affected.

Looking good! Really should make the trip down to see you, and see the car in the flesh.
-
I'd be tempted by these mate.... if I thought they'd clear the AP's, but I think it'd be to tight. Agree with Kev, they look fantastic on the car... why change them?!?
-
Looking good mate, quite the I improvement! Get it in and fired up ready for Xmas

Hell's yeah for big brakes!! Mr Swiftkid, you're right. The Corrado certainly seems to attract owners that want to do the majority of work themselves and bring it back to OEM style condition. Which I personally love. There are some great cars on the forum that would be fully deserving of a feature.
-
Fair point. Yours is surely worth a feature mate?

I think there are a couple of issues with the corrado making it into the pages of some of these mags. 1. It is now relatively rare. Compared even to a mk1 or mk2 scirocco they didn't make many at all so 20 years later they're getting few and far between. To put it in context, I've just had a look on autotrader and there are the same number of Aston Martin DB6's and VR6's currently for sale..... Which leads me onto my next point... 2. People aren't modifying them as much these days. Most people are restoring them now, just look at the number of people currently doing that on this forum! Just my thoughts, obviously

Looking very good. They're a fine looking machine on track.

Nothing any good but after one of these, is that a good price?
-
We've just fitted one at ours and the plate with all the info was just screwed to the back of the stove. Throw up some pics, if someone recognises it and you can find the manufacturer you can probably get the specs straight from them. If it's over 5kw output you'll need an secondary air source (air brick below or behind it is probably best, depends on the layout of your house)
-
You'll find that it'll start to mist up all the time, no matter what speed fan etc. Passenger footwell may start to feel damp if the leak is bad enough. If you remove the undertray below the glove box you may be able to feel a bit of moisture on the bottom of the air direction box. I caught mine early, before my carpets got wet etc and so glad I did otherwise it can ruin the carpets and underlay.

Yep, the dreaded heater matrix. Relatively easy job if you're prepared to get stuck in, and the matrix itself is affordable.

The Volvo has a few redeeming features, but retro cool might be stretching it mate! But definitely suits the profession.

So today was the last run out for Mincy for 2015. Now tucked up for winter, SORN'ed and at some point I need to make a decision as to what I am going to do with it. Felt good taking it for a quick spin, after about 6 weeks of not using it, and feels very responsive in comparison to winter hack that's for sure...... presenting, the HMS Volvo! And a final evening shot before winter.... the old isn't looking too bad.
-
Nice. What flavour? Assume the rado is staying?
-
Everyone's a critic! Ouch!
