  1. Hey welcome back mate! Good to see your still working on the old car as well as a new vr. The bora looks tidy, shame to be breaking but needs must I guess. Be very interested to see how both cars turn out given how clean the old one was previously..... Although the wheel market might not be able to cope now you've got 2 projects on the go!
  2. Yeah, definitely an idea. Anyone with a vrt fancy coming out and helping me decide on winter plans?
  3. Evening all! I've got a rare free Sunday this Sunday.... anyone fancy a meet up and maybe cheeky run out? I'm in Cambridge but happy to drive to a central meeting point. Ideally east midlands area.
  4. if i had my vcds I'd get some tonight for you. hopefully someone will read this and post something up. Is it a trait of the 3.2 then? I've not heard anything specific, but then I've not really read up on the R32 motor
  5. Does anyone else have a similar conversion and can get some screenshots of the same blocks in vcds to give you an idea of how seriously out it might be. Chain stretch has got to be unlikely hasn't it? Given the mileage and setup of the engine.
  6. Not sure it'll help but my 24v wasn't reading any lambda values due to other faults within the ECU (MAF, SAI etc). As soon as I got those faults cleared (by Vince) the lambdas began reading and adapting correctly. To me it looks like you need to solve some of those fault codes first mate

That looks really good mate, top stuff!
  8. Awesome. How's it running now? Was the vagcom any use?
  9. The suspense is killing us!
  10. I've been trying to convince a colleague to give up his T-Maxx so I can rebuild it. The motor is fubared but the rest is good.... apparently. Didn't realise so many had RC cars. Never had any myself but if I can get hold of this one I will.
  11. Interesting idea indeed. Hope it takes off but traditional we're a hard bunch to get in the same place at the same time! Best I saw was the 20th meet at the 'ring in 2008. Either way I'd be interested in coming along. - VR6 24v, Cambridge

Nice purchase mate. Given the quality of the last one you had I'm very interested to see what you do with this one. Have to say, and I've probably said this loads, a Corrado in red is one of my very favourites!
  13. I could be convinced to pop down to woodbridge if the dates work.
  14. This is what I'm thinking for mine. I now have space, and time isn't a huge issue. Just worried it'll start as a small project and before I know it I'll be going crazy and getting the bay painted or something
  15. planning on a bit of a strip down for mine over winter, put my order for a blowtorch in for christmas! how far you going to take it?
  16. Nice work Dave, although I'm not sure I saw the memo about fixing issues straight away rather than procrastinating for ages like the rest of us! ;)
  17. Looking very nice. Don't forget to get a vid for that first blast up the road!
  18. No one can ever forget that kind of story!
  19. So in the end I think I'm staying with HIC. Their renewal came in at £345 but given the cheapest quote I got was from their sister company they matched the £270 price and their service has always been good so happy to remain where I am. Result!
  20. So Adrian Flux came in at £270, fully comp, 5000 miles a year, garaged in a good area. just waiting on a few others to get back to me but that's already £100 less than last year.
  21. It's that time again! So far the best I've had is £295 from Chris Knott. I'm waiting on a few others to come back to me but at the moment I've at least saved £85 over last year.
