  1. 24V stage will be in and running by the end of May, just need to sort a downpipe and we'll be rolling. Then a couple of months running it around like that to make sure it's all good, then turbo time!
  2. *cough* isn't it nearly summertime? No, it's still definitely spring.......ish.......... Anyway haven't you got an xbox to fix........
  3. Ordered mine from work this afternoon, so maybe only 5 sets left......
  4. I've got one in progress.....
  5. Losing connection whilst in 2nd on lap 9 of 10 was particularly harsh though. Gutted for you but good racing. My mate who joined in enjoyed it as well, he could hear us but we couldn't hear him!
  6. I'm still in for 8pm lads, only just downloaded Yan's tuning setup so won't get a chance to practice but looking forward to a bit of Nurburgring dodgems!
  7. If you fancy holding on for a couple of weeks I'll have a set of 288's with disks and pads to go straight onto a VR for sale, not the prettiest set in the world but with all new seals etc so working perfectly.
  8. Must admit I thought the 'ring would be the best, but hard to get into a rhythem on it as it's so long. Whatever track, I'm good for 8pm on Monday. With the tuning, are we all going to run a standard tune to keep everything nice an even?
  9. I think everyone hates insurance companies, but best advice is to do exactly what you're doing and fight your corner until you get something you're happy with. Best of luck! :salute: Oh and if that new VR6 rad is a genuine one then put my name on it.... just to help your project obviously...
  10. Currently I'm running weitec gt shocks & springs, Lowered about 50mm. Really want to keep the car looking as standard as possible really but upgrading brakes.
  11. Anyone know how thick you can safely go with wheel spacers and sticking with the standard wheels? Got some 4 pots coming but would like to see if I can keep the standard wheels if possible. Not adverse to getting the arches rolled if it helps. Cheers
  12. I'm still up for this. How about this monday? Bank holiday racing fun! Need to select a track and a race distance though. My suggestion would be somewhere like Laguna Seca and a distance of say 100 laps? We'll definitely get some tyre changes and fuel stops in that one!
  13. Love the solitudes on my car, but with 304mm 4 pots coming I don't think they'll be able to stay. I've even thought about spacing them out at bit but still not really sure that'll work. Loving the car Jim, looking forward to seeing it in the flesh at some point.
  14. that's because I didn't disagree with that part of your post, in fact I whole heartedly agree with you it is the rider/drivers decision to control their vehicle in the mannor they choose. I was merely saying that branding motorcyclists as idiots is rather shortsighted when far more people everyday are taking similar risks whilst in control of 2 tonnes of metal and plastic. We've all done it, that ill timed overtake where we should have waited for a bigger gap or miss judging an exit and sneaking into gap when we've cut someone up, I sure have. Not intentionally but I've done it. But on a bike it really is your neck (so to speak).
  15. Depends how you grade idiocracy I guess, I drive 130 miles everyday for work on a mixture of A & B roads and I've been stuck on the A14 what seems like hundreds of times because a car has managed to park itself rather unfortunately in another cars boot at speed. Thankfully I've never seen someone seriously hurt (car, bike or otherwise) but it would tend to be cars and lorries who cause the majority of accidents. Now I've been riding bikes longer than I've been driving and it makes my blood boil when I see guys on sports bikes riding like it's their own personal race track but is it really that stupid? Any form of poor driving/riding should be frowned upon, and rightly so, but to tarnish every motorcyclist as dangerous is both ridiculous and unfair. Surely it is fair less dangerous/stupid/selfish/irresponsible to be one rider on a 200kg bike overtaking with more than enough power to be round you before you know it than it is to be in control of a 2000kg moving brick with up to 4 other souls overtaking when you've barely got enough power to get upto 70-80mph in the first place? Maybe from the riders own health point of view but for every bike I see acting like a tosser on my daily commute I can guarantee you that I'll see 10 cars driving like they own the road or paying so little attention that you can see they'll be picking bits of hedgerow out of their grills sometime soon. And I always make a point of letting the motorbikes past as safely as possible if I can, partly because that's what I'd hope another driver would do if I came up behind them on my bike, and partly because it's their life and even if they did unfortunately crash it's more than likely only their life they'll take. On the other hand Mr Mondeo overtaking on a single carriageway is just as likely to survive whilst the unfortunate oncoming family in their MPV/Estate that he hit/forced off the road suffer the consequences of his stupidity and I know which one i would say is more idiotic. Sorry for the rant. p.s. I'll be in Peterborough on the 6th, doing the speed limit riding with my father and uncle. And I'd like to point out that none of us have ever been pulled by the police, been caught speeding, or repremanded for any other driving offences either on a bike, or in a car.
  16. Let me have a look in the office to see if I can get some on the sly..... Normal Vacuum hose right? The off-white stuff?

Just had a look, very complete thread you've got their. Loads of useful pics, and I think those wheels will be fine over the AP's, loads of room! Cheers for the help gentlemen :notworthy:

    TT Comps weight

Might well take you up on that. Not bothered about tatty or not as they'll be black by the time I'm done with them! Just need to be cheap enough that I can justify putting the AP's on straight away when I get them. PM me if you do decide to sell, I won't be getting the new brakes for a week or so yet.

    TT Comps weight

Cheers guys, Legends! Hmm, that's not too bad really is it... think my speedies weighed in at about 15kg each with tyres. Need something to fit over my AP 4pots and I can't afford new wheels at the mo. Have you got a set John?

    TT Comps weight

as per title, does anyone know how much Audi TT comps weigh, or could someone weigh one for me (ideally with tyre)?
  23. Sounds good, then it's all down to driver skill and who can avoid being punted off by Alex..... Joking! Any idea what day this is going to happen?
