  1. A6 to Rushden, then B645 to St Neots, then south on A1(M) for two junctions to meet up with the A421 to Bedford. B645 in particular is a good road but be warned that Bikers love it as well.
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/8206560.stm Check this out guys Good work on the car so far mate, can't wait to see the finished product.
  3. No idea what the usual oil temp is for a VRT but from a normal oil temp point of view I wouldn't want to be on the high side of 120degC to often as if it gets too hot the oil starts to breakdown and not work very well. How high are you seeing?
  4. I'll be good, I promise! I actually think you're doing a good trick with the interior. Nothing wrong with the R32 one, lovely infact, but I personally am not keen on light coloured leather.... just asking to get marked. Can't wait to see it.
  5. Hah! Possibly... he's nothing like he is on TV in real life!
  6. Looking good mate, glad you're happy with it all. What are your plans for the interior then if you're swapping it over? Edit - Haha! Beat me to it!
  7. pics! Sorry being a bit slow in putting them up. Took loads so if you want anymore just let me know. Dirtytorque and myself Mmm 288's freshly refurbed and fitted, wasn't sure on the colour at first but think they look really good The Beige Boy Wonder helping out on the rear :camp: Spot of agricultural machinery for anyone? This is how you get an engine in/out! Engine going back in......doesn't my bum look big in this? Close of play on Sunday And one for the Mods, a nice big........................................ Cock!
  8. Well one of the basics of law in this country is the postal rule, if you can prove you posted it then it should be up to the other company to prove they didn't receive it. I can prove I sent it as it was franked and recorded as I sent it through the system at work. Whether that will really get me anywhere is a complete guess though. They are happy to accept the photocopy I took of my no claims certificate so I'll fax that over tomorrow.... any ideas whether I can get the alarm re-certified?
  9. Well the useless people at Directline have managed to lose both the certificate of my no claims and, more importantly, my certificate for my alarm installation. According to their requirements I had to send them my Original certificate rather than a copy and even though I took a photocopy before I sent it they won't accept it as proof. So my question is two fold - 1) Are they talking rubbish and where do I stand on either making them accept my copy as they are currently saying I'm not covered for theft until I can prove I've got an alarm? 2) How do I go about getting a new certificate? The alarm works fine so I'd rather not get a new one installed if possible. Useless tw@ts didn't manage to mess up getting their money out of my bank though! :mad2:
  10. Was a very good weekend and I'll get the photo's up at some point tomorrow. Obviously it was great to get the VR6 further along, especially the big jobs and hopefully we've made at least a little bit of a difference, and also just talk over the what you wanted to get done and a rough time frame. Like we spoke about it's always good to have someone else to work with and just chat stuff over. I think it's going to be a really nice car once you're done with it mate and I'm looking forward to more updates. Really good to meet you to Rob and put a face to the name, glad you enjoyed to run out in the VR we certainly didn't hang about did we! Also really good to have a chat about you car and just to hear it when you pulled out of Toms, sounded like a rally car! Awesome! :notworthy:
  11. I wonder how well a VRT would do against that Golf, running say 400bhp and rwd........from a rolling start it might be quite interesting....

    I Passed !!

Well done Wendy, can't wait to see you out on track in the BTCC next season.
  13. Haha! Cheers Kev, but don't worry they are only a stop gap as they had a full set of conti's with about 5mm left and my old tyres were near illegal. Plans of big brakes will mean they will have to go just after christmas. They aren't the ones off Adz (hodaz) car, they are actually Porsche grey metallic and from another guy off here called VRChris. Bargain at £150!
  14. Just picked up some RXs off here and have been thinking about what tyres to go for. That's one vote for Eagles then. 8) That's also a good point about the suspension. One thing I've always wanted to know is what it was like to drive a new Corrado. Looks like I'm gonna be saving for a long time though. :D Another shout for the Eagle F1's Patricia, very good tyres!
  15. I'm too am interested in the progress of your car! :mad2: We're singlehandedly making this the greatest thread alive! I think you should be a bit more grateful young Elizabeth!
  16. Cheers guys, wasn't sure about them to begin with but once I got them on the car I think they just suit the Aqua blue really well. They were a bargain as well so I can't complain!
  17. You're all so mean....... :camp: Don't listen to them Dorothy!
  18. Exactly what I was thinking! Love it mate, looking very well.
  19. WTF?! Was that you toad you ravening goit! I don't care if you are a mod I forbid you from putting words in my mouth. Or anything else for that matter. Jim, you are also a ravening goit. Forgeting what you typed, flying off the handle at the smallest things..... is it that time of the month Ruth?
  20. No need to get angry Cheryl, you're just as mad as the rest of us! And that 24vT is the most sane thing I've ever done with that car....... ish......
  21. Yes. Oh, well why didn't you say so earlier.... welcome to the club! :salute:
  22. I meant buy a new car.... seriously these Corrado's are over-rated! Oh! Nah, give me a Rado any day. 8) If I got a new car I'd have to have a Rado as well. Why? Are you in some way mentally unhinged Janet?
  23. I meant buy a new car.... seriously these Corrado's are over-rated!
  24. My tip is to get it most of the way there and then get it professionally pressure bled, save yourself the time and hassle plus the waste of brake fluid doing it on the drive.
