just for the record that was nt mine 8) i know tegwyn has a few running problems with his so thats may have been why he was revving it, i dont know about saturday but i only heard it a few times on sunday and he was revving it as hard as you describe, it was probably just because its loud. because there are not that many over here poeple always ask you to start it up so they can here it. theres quite a lot of different eatons out there, but i think the g-lader is a lot more effeceint than an eaton, i could be wrong and surpose it might not be for all eaton models, but i thought they just blew the air rather than compress it like the lysholm and the g-lader. also when you start running smaller pulleys on the eatons they are not as effeceint. one think to keep in mind with the lysholm the only touching parts are a couple of gears and the bearings so they should last a long time with no service intervals if i was going to put a silencer kit on a lysholm i would have a go at making it myself all you are doing is moving the throttle body before the charger so it limits the amount of air it can suck through.

i ve been to nottingham for a weekend and to be honest i can remember seeing loadsa bad boy scoobys. your main problem when comparing a tuned g60 to a scooby is getting grip off the start line, but if you ve got a good tuned g60 i think you'll be able to give some uk models a bit hassle once moving. if you get simular power to a uk model (220bhp ish i think) or even a bit less, you'll be in a lighter car with less transmission loses so in theory you should be ok, but remember that the scooby can be tuned up easily, :? i had a play with some uk models with my old VR and they could nt get away, and my G60 is feels faster than my VR was even when it was on the standard chip and pulley, but it has had quite a bit of engine work done to it.
-
dont think any other models will work sorry, they all look quite simular but the g60 one has a longer shaft as its the outer most pulley on the crank which powers it, and goes on the outside of the supercharger belt :? if you understand what i mean

gutted for you mate, i find bad things always seem to happen at the wrong time. had a scare with mine today, but it turned out to be something minor, but i can imagine how sick you feel :| prob not best time to ask, but what sort of camera did you take the pictures with, looks really good quality -

just out of interest have you tried a compression check? you say the car feels flat, how much power has been lost? -

i was thinking big ends, from the noise, wounder if they got damaged when your oil and water mixed. :? but when you said it was flat i would think it was more to do with the valves or followers lets hope its not to serious :? -

i'm sure JD engineering have done a 300bhp 8v g60 not sure if they can prove the figures, and i dont know how oftern the charger was rebuilt -

oooppps sorry double post  -
I had a really good day too, thanks henny, matt and everyone else from dub-force, and it was good meeting everyone else and putting faces to the names. my top speed was dis-apointing :( only managed about 112mph, i think i did a bit faster later but this was at the red line running out of revs so i might have a re-think on what gearbox to use. :? i managed a 0-60 of 7.49 and a 1/4 mile of 15.8 which i was happy with, my first time sprinting and the cars still on the standard chip and pulley the people from PVW where great, :)
-
depends what width, i'm using 195/40/16s but my rims are not that wide
-
i could be wrong but think there 15" g60 steels

sounds like an eventful night, with a kool chick :D

or you can make one by getting a deep socket think its 13 mm and modify it with a grinder. i managed to get the proper tool from halfords, i think i was lucky as i had been looking for one for a while. was a good price too
-
i agree with you there jim. you can normally spot a corrado with the fogs on cause there more inwards than the headlights. dont normally drive with them on unless its foggy, got stopped once with them on by a really awkward copper, and i did nt even realise i had them on :? i have nt got any now so nothing to worry about :D
-
your best bet would be to get it sandblasted or beed blasted. but it might be expensive
-
:D looks good impressive figures for a standard internal engine, i saw the video of you going agaist hardchargins g40 looked fast

what company is it? this happened with my friend with tescos, he had to cancel his direct debit
