  1. When i took the MIM's off my Corrado and checked the depth on the Nankangs that were on it, around 5k worth of use and they'd only gone down to 5.5 front and 6.5mm rear. That was impressive, just they weren't the best at grip. Haha.
  2. That looks very nice fella! Whereabouts in Hudds are you from? And get yourself on the forum i run . :) http://www.hdvag.co.uk/forum/index.php Based in Huddersfield.
  3. The former i think mate. ET11 would probs be ok if you're not going any lower than that. :)
  4. I'm expecting this when it comes round again tbh. :( All i hear is prices up and up. :(
  5. Not strictly the answer to your question, but i used Bugpack on my Golf i had before my Corrado, they were fantastic and a quite a bit cheaper than both too. Haven't used either of the others but just thought i'd say!
  6. late model bonnet though, which is also still available from VW if you have an early bonnet there's no OEM foam available. You get any idea how much it is from VW still matey?
  7. Basically i think that you've got the least desirable Corrado there so trying to sell it is going to be difficult. Thats my honest opinion as you asked.
  8. I despise Ronal Turbo's AND ATS Cups. Just never ever look good. :( Your rado looks nice otherwise mate.
  9. Depends how low you're going to be and what the suspension is like? Dont wanna risk it slamming down onto your wheel and bending the arch, which looks feasible at the 26mm spacer mock up. I run mine with near enough zero arch gap so it just depends what you run it at.
  10. I'd go 20mm max buddy. Due to the way standard Corrado rear arches have those huge lips i reckon you'll have trouble getting any more in! Ooooo errr. :camp:
  11. Stop whining and get a Turbo yo!
  12. Mk3 front and rear frames would be a cool thing to do but is a lot more work than some spacers. I'd imagine you'll have to go 5 stud too? Not sure though. Easiest way to measure where your wheel is going to sit with spacers is to make summat up with wood maybe? Or use something similar in width and see where it sits? Obv it wouldn't be perfect as there would be no weight on it so the suspension wont sit normally but could be a very easy and cheap way of finding out loosely. Can't suggest anything easier/cheaper. If you live anywhere near me in Halifax you're welcome to see how mine work on your car. :camp: Have just seen its Milton Keynes, probably not then. Haha.
  13. To get back to your question before mate spacers would be my choice yeah! It was what i did and it made the car look 10 times better. But at the same time you've got to think about tyre choice if you get too close to the arches. I had to fold my rear lips to get them down to ET5 but it means i can get the rears to sit perfectly so 8) The 20mm set and 15mm set i got off a lad on here and i do believe they were the similar ebay ones, both Hubcentrics. Only difference was the 15mm's used longer bolts and bolted the wheels to the hub that way and the 20mm's were ones that bolted to the hub first, then you bolted the wheel to the spacer. The double bolt style get my vote. But both were fine. As the lips were folded on mine you wont get a 7 inch wheel to ET5 with standard arches but i'm sure you could manage something like ET20 or 15 at a push.
  14. On my 2.0 16v i had MIM 1900's all round. They were ET25 and 15x7 and i managed to get the rears down to ET5 with 20mm spacers and fronts to ET10 with 15mm spacers. To say they were 7's they filled the arches pretty well! Haven't got any proper pics of the arches close up though. But they were with 185/45 tyres so there was a little bit of stretch.
  15. The cheapo coilovers serve a purpose. They do me fine. Mine really aren't as bad as people make out.
  16. Pics of the girl.... :camp:
  17. Well mine was down around 110mm all round and that didn't scrub so i'd imagine with the right tyre size you can manage. But i spose difference is mine is a 16v and has the narrower track!
  18. I got mine for 150 quid. They're the other ebay ones, TA Technix, endlessly adjustable height wise and i have no real problem with them. Yes they're a bit bouncy but with decent tyres they're more than bearable. No idea what exactly the Jamex ones are like unluckily but i thought i'd give you my 2p on those. :)
  19. Depends how much you're willing to play with your arches i'd imagine. I've run a 7 inch wheel at ET5 on the back of my Corrado before with just folding the inner lip and at the front ET10 without doing anything.
  20. Anyone actually got a link to any of these then that'll fit a 9A?
  21. These look very smart mate, you'll now get lots of posts asking all about the install of them :norty: That was the point in the thread.  So any info would be great.
  22. Good work. Anyone got anymore idea then?
  23. That doesnt really explain a lot if i'm honest. First sentance doesn't really tell exactly whats needed? Do you need both Corrado and TT frames? Or just the TT one? :camp:
