  1. I've had many friends do it, get masses of attention from the Police, but there was nothing they could physically ticket/charge them with as they were clued up on what exactly was legal and what wasn't. One of my mates did it for 2 months and got pulled nearly daily but they couldn't do anything. Take it how you will. :camp:
  2. You can drive without a bonnet... Nowhere in the legislation says you can't. Drive there with your bonnet off, fit new one, job done.
  3. Fixed the outside temp sensor. Replaced all the headlight bulbs for much stronger ones.
  4. I'm guessing it wasn't Jonny if he's on about 500bhp BMW's...
  5. Yeah, i'll be honest, i only watched that for the fanny. :D Om nom nom nom.
  6. HOW MUCH?! For a standard system?!
  7. The one who owns quite a large stake in a Performance BMW business then? Everyone loves the Corrado. 8)

    What Air Freshener?

Aaaaaall about the Magic Tree's yo. I go through them 1 every 2 or 3 weeks. Bubbleberry at the moment, Black Ice is pretty nice and is New Car Scent. Vanilla and Orange one too.
  12. Well, Rota's sold, now got myself a set of chunky 16's. Tyres have been ordered and hopefully can get them on in the next couple of weeks. 8) Picture from yesterdays HDVAG meet though: How its sitting atm! ET 5 at the back and ET 10 at the front. Looks pretty good for a set of 7's. 8)
  13. Firstly, yep, reducing the tyre size would be a pretty good way of stopping that. A 205/45 on a 7 is basically no stretch so you'll have a nice slab of sidewall for the things to rub on the inside. 195/40's would be my choice on a 7 and theres still barely any stretch on that. Thicker adaptors would be a good way of sorting it obv but is expensive. On the spacer and adaptor front, its possible, seen it done a few times, you can get Porsche specific spacers on ebay quite cheap and longer bolts to suit easy enoughl. And it would probably be an easier solution than the other two. But obviously people get worried about the extra stresses that might be caused. Personally i dont think the difference would be that obvious, but i probably wouldn't do it all the same. Really depends on how paranoid a person you are.
  14. How north and how west? Haha. But i reckon you'd struggle....

    Wheel bolts

Anything standard on a VW will use Radius seat bolts. Like this : Most aftermarket wheels and other manufacturers use these, tapered seat bolts : As the lads say if its for a 4 stud Corrado they're M12, 5 stud is M14. And as for spacers, i use 15mm spacers on the front of my car and i bought 39mm length bolts which is about right considering i think normal bolts are around 23mm long. Dont know what kind of bolts BBS use but i'd guess it will be tapered seat bolts as they're an aftermarket type....
  18. Sorry to hear that Wippy. :( Not good. Today i've spaced my wheels to ET10 at the front and ET5 at the back. Looks good. 8)
  19. Fair play to the work gone into that tbh. But wouldn't be my choice of car to put Lambo engine/running gear in.
  20. My local scrappy is rubbish and has a minimum charge of a fiver for anything. :mad2:
