Dark Burgundy Pearl 16v Update: 16x8's all round.
Jonny777 replied to Jonny777's topic in Members Gallery
Haha, cheers gents. 15s with a stretched tyre on a Corrado with the coilovers near enough at the bottom though is bloomin' nuts to drive daily. So if anyones has a set of 16's in 4x100 for sale that'll swap for my 17 inch Rota's let me know! Hopefully after the wheels will get the interior changed. 8) -

Just an update on how this thing looks now. Got bored with the white and went bright flouro orange. First pic shows it best. MIM's are just go betweens until i sell my Rotas and find a set of 16's really, so a bit of fun. :D :camp: climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf4339985545_5c6359751e_b.jpg[/attachment:1bcelmcm] 4.jpg[/attachment:1bcelmcm] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf1.jpg[/attachment:1bcelmcm] -
My painting, not perfect, but alright for a cheap job really. DSCN4476.jpg[/attachment:1hsv1mow] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf4of16.jpg[/attachment:1hsv1mow] Halfords paint both times, not much prep i admit, theres some paint reacting, but was supposed to be a quick job. Rubbed down, primed (filler primer i found was best) then colour and a few layers of lacquer. :)

I can see the advantage of the 99 RON stuff but thats fairly obvious as its higher, but i dont have any that sell it near me to even try it. Rather use the specially produced fuels from the specialists. Summat from Tesco doesnt strike me as being the best...

I often just paint my wheels when i'm bored, finish isn't the best, but for a job that i just feel like doing for a change it only costs me around 25-30 quid a time. :) Did them white first time, then bright flouro orange a couple of weeks back. Will no doubt change again if i get bored.

If that ever gets built i'll be suprised.

I'll only ever buy petrol from Shell and BP now and only they're vpower/ultimate ones. Car gets far better MPG and runs a hell of a lot better on it. I won't touch supermarket fuel as i've heard stories about it being full of crap.

They'll fit, but the spring rates will probably be well off for a heavy engine like a VR. So dont know if they'd be too bouncy when you got them on.

Heated Mirrors and One touch not working, related?
Jonny777 replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in Interior
When were heated mirrors introduced on Rado's? And i have drivers side that works with one touch up and down, but passenger only 1 touch down. :gag:  -
I cant help but have that thought. Everything now works on it, touch wood. And it was only the ABS that didnt work before that. :D Unlucky though. :(
-
I've done it countless times now on various cars, Mk2's and my Rado etc. Fairly easy really. :) Just as long as you've got somewhere to do it! Make sure you buy VW items though, rest are sh*te.

I get looks on a daily basis, probably because of my wheels. However, had a young lad tell me whilst i was in a petrol station it was an "awesome car, love it" and the guy at the counter then said, "thats proper nice mate", double chuftie. :D
-
I bought one off ebay for around 35 pounds for my Mk2 Golf. Was absolutely fine, water proof and a soft plush inner. Very happy with it so i'd have a look on ebay first!

What are the Most Desirable Corrado Colours
Jonny777 replied to Madjackal's topic in General Car Chat
Dark Burgundy. Oh yes, no bias here. -
That doesnt look like Dark Burgundy to me.... Looks too red! Mine a lot darker than that and its DBP.
-
Dark Burgundy isn't common, but its not rare, plus its in the Red's group mate. There are loads!
-
Yep, Febi Bilstein is good stuff. vwspares is where its at. :) F*ck paying VW prices anymore.
-
Paint my wheels a ridiculous colour.
-
Mine have been here a while now, just been away from my uni house for a bit! Thanks Jake. :)

Can i still get my hands on a set of the TT wiper arms and the blades? Oh and i tried fitting those ebay aero wipers to my Corrado last week, they didnt work at all. Like literally got no rain off the window. Testament to just how sh*t Corrado front arms are. But i've read through most of the thread, just wondering if its all still available etc?
