hey man looking good 8) glad to see another corrado around bedford! havent seen yours around much but then i havent been to flitwick for a while  theres 3 other clean corrados around bedford/luton way... this makes 4... awesome :D -
if you've got a golf to sell give him a call  i'd give him a bell, cant hurt and see what he has to say!
-
so does this mean we should all be thanking our lucky stars that we can run cheap Vmax petrol atm then
-
ok.. hands up i undertake regulary, if i'm in a rush and wish to do 90mph i'm already commiting an offence i know but if a group of cars are sitting nose to tail in the fast lane doign 70 then i will undetake in the free middle lane, wrong maybe, but a lot easier than flashing people out of the way one by one and getting fingers and gestures waved for havignthe ordacity to want to overtake and move someone out of their lane! Cant see a problem with it as long as you signal... could sya that people overtakign from slow to middle might crash into you but as far as i remember its part of the driving test that you mirror-signal-manouver so if changing lanes if you dont check to see whats coming and an accident happens would it not be the fault of the driver who didnt look?? grey area maybe?

erm boyds custom wheels arent really a good example of a normal priced wheel!... $$$$$$!!! i have a receipt for my TT comps from the previus owner of the golf who paid £470 a wheel from the dealers and when you add on decent tires your lookign at 2.5k for a set of what you can get for £500 now :( so i agree 3.5k isnt mega money for wheels but i always laugh when i see a set of wheels worth more than the car!

i got my vr towed when my alarm decided to immobilise the car despite what the remaote was telling it to do, we used a strap like you would use with ratchets to keep loads on a trailor and it worked fine, but if you have a small steering wheel fitted, swap for the normal cos manuvering a vr at low speeds with a 300mm one aint fun!!, other than that just keep your eye out for hazards, take your time and if you do have problems with hills with a fwd car turn the towing car around and attach it so you can reverse up the hill and pull the corrado, more torque and the driving wheels have the weight acting upon them

yeah!! that looks fooking awesome, if they produce an rsi stylee version it'd be amazing, 3" lower and 2" wider track, nicely done vw... awesome car!! and more importantly if the R32 version has that aggressive style i'll deffinitely be wanting one in a few years!!

standard brembo discs from gsf seem to fair pretty well, look clean and simple as well!
-
just seen this thread and sorry to hijack but does anyone know of a garage in the bedfordshire area that can fit standard rear beam bushes apart from VAG... they quoted £500+ for the job and as far as i've been told its a 3hour job, the VAG bushes come in about £60inc VAT so i dont know where the extra numbers come from... Every garage i've spoken to said they can only do poly without the proper tool :( which costs almost £500 inc vat for them to buy it... By the sounds of it fitting the poly ones is a fairly straight forward job i could do on the driveway but after polybushes on the golf i'd like to fit the new VAG rubber ones!

as jim said this is looking a bit full on 8) ... should be awesome!... would love to see more pics as theres more progress!

hey lorns i'm sure me and a few other boys from here saw your C at santa pod at the spring fest?? there were 3 of us parked near the que for the track near the end of the day they were the black VR6 on BBS RC's, grey valver on BBS lm's and the red 1.8t rado with a carbon bonnet running up and down the strip... anyway... they're v striking, i think they'd look better if you put some spacers on as they seem to be quite tucked into the arches... then it'd look sweet 8)
-
WOW.... nice daily 8) ... the corrado really is all about the love of it for you then :D
-
sounds like you're gonna be trawlingn ebay and forum for sale threads fr a while to try it!... sorry cant be any help
-
they're deffo on my list of things to put in, would be interested to see a pic and as for being chav ones??? :cuckoo: all new cars, especially the sport models seem to be coming with these, even the big japanese 4x4's, and they come in theTT which is hardly a super chav wagon... or have i missed something?
-
yep i fited a full interior, door cards the lot in, as above, knock the rear seats out and fold them down then i moved the passenger seat forward a bit and stacked all 4 of the rear seats in the passenger footwell and layed the u;per sections of the rear seats over my folded down ones in the back... if you can leave your parcel shelf and any sub boxes at home then wind the front seats so they tilt flat and stack them in :D ... cosey but they'll fit... o and if you can wrap the greasy bits underneath so they dont mark anything
-
hey karl, you might want to speak to mark (jonesmark12) as he's in direct contact with Border atm and is in the process of importing seats over here... they do a very similar one to that http://www.allproducts.com/traffic/border/Product-200811013472.html made of carbon kevlar or carbon fibre... up to you what you want, i've got a pair of their seats sitting in my spare room at the moment and i am in the process of modding some original corrado seat frames and welding brackets directly to the frames to make the seats height and slide adjustable with safe mounting... i'm very pleased with the quality of the carbon and the leather, i've got one piece versions and i can pick a seat up with my little finger 8) hth andy
-
got one for vwdeviant a monthm or so ago, good condition, no excessive wear on the bolster or burns, £150 seats and door cards (+handles and mirror/window switches and arm rest) hth

where have the wires gone... kind of liked them in a strange sort of way!... those merc wheels are v bling... should look lovely over the summer... you gonna drop it onto the wheels any more?
-
the seat doesnt go back enough for me to fit in!... o well its funny gettign out of such a small car... Erm why not use seat covers and then just buy a replacement bolster, i think mine cost me £30 ish from vag parts for standard corrado leather ones... £30 to get in and out as easy as possible isnt alot to pay!
-
sadist  17!! agreed, your nuts!! :cuckoo:
-
erm in that case the mot station that faield my mates 98 ibiza on original dealer plates is a p3nis then! :mad2: good way of scamming £30 extra out of someone!
-
looking cool man, are you 3d scanning or measuring by hand... or have you managed to find some vw drawings?? lol!
-
be aware though... they're clamping down so much that i was threatened that at the time the copper reconed he should have contacted the dvla to report a misuse of number plate... this means the dvla take away your registation plate meaning you have to re register it on a Q plate apparently!! the guy sounded like he was doing me a favour by giving me a £30 fine but promised if he caught me again he'd report me!! :( ... i put them back on a week later and got pulled by the police in london... they didnt fine me but just told me off, so, you may get lucky but its up to you!
-
i've had 2 sets from dubmeister... v v good service and the product is top notch, o and if/when you order, say 'can i still get discount for being a club gti member' and instant discount... cant remember how much but its 10% or 2 plates for £30 or something... Plaketten are extra... but beware if you run them fully germanstyleeee then you may get a lovely £30 fine like i did! :( ... i think if you dont run white on the back you should be ok though  just a pic of what i was running for ref... hope that helps

i heard from speaking to a mechanic who converted the rear of his ibiza 1.8t to mk4/tt vented that fitting the callipers and discs involved a fair bit of machining... i thought ibiza's shared many parts with mk3 golfs so they woudl be a similar PITA to fit... hence the 280's!
