Attempt car hijacking, (from another forum)
Owen VR6 replied to Jim Bowen's topic in General Car Chat
My thoughts exactly, but maybe i'm too much of a cynic too! -
Fitted mine last week and the change is amazing! Fitted Phillips extremes as well just for good measure and they work a treat!

Unfortunately it's a 4 pin weird thing! (well was until 2 broke off!)

Just changed over my wheels and put a new set of locking wheel nuts on as well, got to the second last wheel and the lovely nut key broke! it now has only 2 prongs instead of 4. I did manage to get the other wheel on thankfully but now would like to replace the key so that i can get the others off! The nuts came with the car so i've no idea where they were bought from, went to halfords and they said that i'd have to go through the company that made the nuts, fair enough i thought....... (even though i had the packaging and my car outside!) Found the address on the back of the packet and googled it but it came up with a phone number that doesn't work! aghhhh So the long and short of it is........ does anyone know who stocks 'cosmic racing' wheel nuts, and if not how to get in touch with them? Thanks very much!!! PS - NEVER BUY COSMIC WHEEL NUTS THEY ARE S*@T

It's a phonesafe thing Stops your phone number being posted on the net, Agencies phoning you up trying to get you pay them £85 to sell your car for you! Thought it seemed a bit to good to be true, seems like that is normally the case with these things

beat me to it! -
Well said! My lights are so dim it's almost dangerous to drive without full beam on and to not mod them to get the best out of them would seem a touch silly ( even if it does seem like a bit of a task!)

Cheers for all the input, would love to have the time / knowledge to make one myself but i don't! But i suppose if someone ( cheesewire) :norty: did do a write up on exactly how to do it i would give it a go. Sounds like i should give the one's on ebay a miss, not suprising really as with so much on there!

Not anymore cos it's mine!

I agree totally, all depends on the colour of your car......... Had all reds on my old green rado and they looked sweet, but thinking i'll maybe go for smoked on the new grey one!

Been looking for an uprated loom on the bay and there's a few that come up but they're all from the same seller (1989corradog60) Just wondering if anybody has bought one from him and if it''s any good/safe! There's 5 different types as well, just different model numbers (SX1, SX2, SX3 etc) Any idea which one to buy for my 93 VR6? Cheers
-
That's brilliant, cheers mate! If you could pm me his mobile number that would be brill

Now that's dedication! -
Just bought my VR6 and it came fitted with a momo steering wheel, but the boss rubs on the top of the steering column and makes an annoying scraping sound whenever you turn the wheel! Not really sure what to do, like the steering wheel but not the sounds it makes. Can't grease it as its plastic on plastic, will it be fitted wrong?
