I have exactly the same dilemma. I was going to try some of this. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_160886_langId_-1_categoryId_255233 or maybe some black shoe polish/wax, but have not had the guts to do either yet :)

One of these wrapped around the pulley where the belt would sit will stop it turning and wont damage it. ;) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DRAPER-13771-256-OIL-FILTER-REMOVER-STRAP-WRENCH-TOOL-/380324513478?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item588d1b86c6#ht_2948wt_1197 Or maybe you could wrap a rag around the pulley and clamp it in a vice.

Mine are not to hot at all in the winter. I think i either need to downsize my oil cooler or maybe modify the mocals thermostat so that it stays closed, anyone here ever tried it?

G60_Marc replied to Jim's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Great idea! i have quite a few bits that i need to shift, but dont have time to advertise, package and post. I also have a fold up waterproof gazebo like this that i could bring with me, if needed. -
31st October 2010, The "What you bought for your corrado today" thread...

I used the old terminal ends. What i did was get the terminal out of its plastic housing and cut the old wire off tight to the point its crimped into the terminal using a sharp blade. I then roughed up the point on the metal where the wire is crimped and melted solder onto it. On the new wire i then put on the rubber grommet, stripped then end if the wire, twisted the copper cores melted solder onto the bare wirest and soldered it carefully onto the crimp. -
What are your Corrado costs to date....

Always up for this. :thumbleft: -
Emu, The EL driver/inverter on eBay below will run the DDi's perfectly. My DDi supplied inverter died so i replaced it with this ebay item. My dials have been running fine for 12 months now without problem. You can either chop the DDi gauge face connectors off and join them directly to the EL driver (as i did) or buy the 3 way splitter, also listed below. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-Car-Inverter-5-15-meters-EL-Glow-Wire-Tron-Neon-/150651027642?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item23138040ba#ht_2381wt_905 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-1-Splitter-EL-Tron-Wire-standard-connectors-/150642170751?pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item2312f91b7f#ht_1898wt_905 Hope this helps.

Looking at the passenger front seat it has a d.i.y. subframe and the belt buckle is on belt material and not a flexible bar like the corrado. I would say that both the fronts are not genuine "corrado" recaros, and are out of 2 different model cars. Not a bad price tho. Tempting ;)

Fitted a genuine vw mk4 golf matrix to my car. The car has no recall/bypass valve. I had to modify the part where the hoses fit on, no problems so far.

Yes they look like Sonar headlights which are pretty cheap on ebay and only come in left hand drive (u.s.a.). The front of the lights are also plastic and not glass and are bonded on not clipped. If fitted to a uk car these will dazzle oncoming cars when on dipped beam and also fail the m.o.t. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?40708-HIDs-fitted-that-s-better!&p=517594&viewfull=1#post517594 http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?53344-SONAR-HEADLIGHT-CONVERSION&highlight=sonar http://the-corrado.net/search.php?searchid=355294

Ive had these combos on my car over the past few years: front - solid bbm item gearbox - mk2 diesel rear - mk2 diesel front - vibratechnics mk2 golf vr6 conversion gearbox - mk2 diesel rear - mk2 diesel front - vibratechnics mk2 golf vr6 conversion gearbox - vibratechnics fast road rear - mk2 diesel front - vibratechnics mk2 golf vr6 conversion gearbox - vibratechnics fast road rear - vibratechnics fast road front - vibratechnics mk2 golf vr6 conversion gearbox - mk2 diesel rear - vibratechnics fast road For your car i would recommend a solid front with new front member bushes, diesel rear and diesel gearbox (cheaper option) or vibratechnics heavy duty front mount with new front member mounts, vibratechnics fast road rear and a diesel gearbox mount. The front mount needs to be beefy as your running high power and the turbo actuator is close to the bulk head, also that fragile turbo manifold needs as little engine twist movement as possible. If im honest there is not a lot of difference between the feel of the vibratechnics fast road mounts and the mk2 diesel mounts. Oh and i wouldn't bother with a vibratechnics fast road gearbox mount they have to much movement in them mk2 diesel will be fine. ;)

By Digital speedo conversion do you mean its a Digifiz? Like these http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=digifiz&_sacat=See-All-Categories On the coil there should be 2 wires, green and black if i remember correctly. The rev counter itself gets its signal from the ecu which is located under the rain tray in the engine bay. Vacuum hoses on the back of the throttle body: 1 should go to the ecu for manifold pressure and another should go to the active charcoal system, sometimes called the carbon canister. This system is commonly removed from the car. There is also a larger hose on the side of the boost return part of the throttle bodie that is also part of the charcoal system. If the charcoal system has been removed and the hoses for it is still there knocking about and not in use i would cut them back to about 2" from the throttle body and screw a bolt into the end of the hoses to stop any vacuum leaks. ---------- Post added at 12:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:59 AM ---------- Some handy links: http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=G60+Self+Study+103 http://www.google.co.uk/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&q=Corrado92.pdf&btnG=Google+Search http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2cluster.html http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/management/digifant1.html
