Removed stock o2 sensor from de-cat pipe and fitted a bosch 4.2 wideband sensor in its place. Wired in wideband controller and gauge. Connected simulated narrowband output from controller to the ecu. Set co pot to roughly 14.7 at idle when the engine is warm. Glad to say that the car seems to be fueling perfectly. Next. :salute: -

Sometimes its like corrados know that they need some tlc and let you know. Friday, just as i was about to head off on a 50 miles round trip in the hammering rain my windscreen wipers finally gave up. They had been juddering all over the place for more than a year and i just kept putting off fixing them. On inspection today i found that all the linkage joints were dried up and full of dirt, as were the moving parts that the wiper arms connect to. Plus the extra pressure of the lupo wiper conversion so its no wonder the motor was having a struggle with it all. Stripped the motor down today and cleaned everything. The motor brushes were fine. Greased the gearbox and motor bearings. Cleaned the electrical connector and then put it all back together. Cleaned and greased all parts of the the linkage and found that under all of the dirt it was actually all in tip top condition. Fitted a new relay and a new fuse just for good measure. Adjusted motor rest position and fitted and adjusted the wiper arms. Wipers are perfect now  as good as new, fast, smooth, quiet and no judder. Why did i put this off for so long! Fitted my new 50mm front spoiler (cheers Andy665) as i was sick of my 90mm snow plough digging up the road and scooping up road kill. Bolted on propper now instead of with cable ties and wing and a prayer. Replaced rear brake lines with some copper ones. The old lines failed my mot. When i cut the old lines open they were mint with nice thick walls. :mad2: Replaced outer cv boot after mot guy ripped the old boot apart. :mad2: Stripped out dash ready for JSB shift lights to arrive. Skinned my knuckles a few times just for good measure. -

Todays completed jobs. Got busy with the angle grinder and mig welder and knocked up a short shift mod ready for when daves16v polished gear surround arrives. I used newer bushes and a spring taken from a low mileage gear selector. What a difference its made! My gearbox itself is brand new from vw and the short shift makes gear changes deadly accurate and really solid and clicky, unlike the old mechanism. With some careful grinding of the tunnel lip in front of the selector housing to get the pivot rod out, i managed to do the mod from inside the car. It was tricky cutting, grinding and welding the various parts but it was well worth it. Also fitted a little sun visor above the rear view mirror, from a passat i think, cheers ebay. -

After having owned a white 91 corrado G60 for a while the charger gave out (on 200,000 miles, 1 owner from new, original charger!) and also a cyclist ran into the side of me denting the rear quarter panel. As it is high mileage and a bit tatty i decided to break her up for parts and a few weeks ago i bought this http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?17194-Monkeys-IHI-G60&highlight=monkeys+ihi since owning it i have re-wired the engine bay, slapped on some red and clear rear in-pros, checked all engine sensors isv etc and i adjusted the timing to stop it pinking. It runs really well :norty: Plans for summer: 440cc injectors 16v fuel pump Upgrade fpr re-map Oil cooler Gearbox The gearbox in the car is standard and currently at 150,000 miles, problem is it whines a little under de-acceleration . I have recently bought a new 02A gearbox code ATN and am thinking of putting some CTN ratios into it so the car has longer legs, it needs them!

It is possible to tune a G60 with an emulator yourself and burn your own chips for less than £300. You can also have switchable maps using the 2Timer plugin board. Info taken from ecuconnections com: Custom Mapping Digifant 1 with tunerpro Brendon Small there has made an XDF file for TunerPro RT for the G60 eprom (chip). Ive been playing with TunerPro RT and a selection on different G60 eproms this weekend using his XDF file and might get an emulator to fiddle about with at some point.

Did some prep work on my new summer wheels to get them ready for a refurb on Monday. BBS RC, 17" x 7", 4 x 100, custom spigot rings, 15mm front spacers, 20mm rear spacers, 4 new genuine center rings, nuts and badges. 4 new tyres. I also have some extra badges on order that have the bbs logo in silver with the carbon background and also some bbs short stainless valves. I had the old tyres removed so i could then sand and file the curb rash out that was done by the previous owner. Im very happy with the results as i managed to remove nearly all of the damaged. The refurb is being done by APS in Swansea and is going to be brilliant silver, spray not powdercoat. Next... :salute:

Bloody Coilovers are knackered !!!!! Anyone refurbed Konigsports before?
G60_Marc replied to RadoVirgin's topic in Drivetrain
Yep i agree, bin them or rip out the dampers and springs if they are ok and sell them on as spares parts. I had the same on some fk ak's that were fitted to my car before i bought it. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?14207-The-quot-what-I-did-to-my-Corrado-today-quot-thread...&p=634711&viewfull=1#post634711 Needless to say, when i jacked the car up and saw the corrosion i binned them very soon after. -
Ive been doing the same TT, S3, R32 debate myself for the past few weeks. I then started to look at Audi A3 3.2 Quattros. Very nice cars with lots of options, 2 door, 4 door, S-Lines, Sports, DSG or manual gearbox, facelift front bumpers, ABT spoilers and skirts, Many different interior options, etc. They are more subtle than an R32, probably thrashed a lot less, low number of owners, Some nice 50,000 mile examples about and for reasonable money too. 2004 models seem to be the sweet spot looking at the spec vs the milage vs the price. Really liked the look of these http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2679142.htm http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2340286.htm http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2547332.htm

I have had in-pros, fk's and sonars on the rear over the years. They have all ended up with moisture in them due to the way the companys bond the outside lenses on. My clear in-pros used to fill up with water. Dirt builds up under the edges of them causing the chrome/silver paint to come off and moss to start growing which is visable as the lenses are clear. This is hard to fix as the gap is less then 1.mm. They all have poor alignment with each other when the boot lid is shut. On some the fixings did not line up with the holes in the boot lid (had to file the boot holes bigger) Also the lights that are on the body of the car have no o.e.m. connectors to hook them up to the cars loom, the boot lid ones do. All my sets have either ended up in the bin or on the bay. Oem standard or modded get my vote.

Yep, genuine vw passat item and possibly quite rare too.The Passat and Corrado are very similar inside. http://cgi.ebay.de/VW-Passat-T4-Getrankehalter-Dosenhalter-Cup-holder-Grau-/230589812102?pt=Autoteile_Zubeh%C3%B6r&hash=item35b0394d86#ht_500wt_1156
