Your car sound good, any photos? Ironically I think most motorsport gauges are black backed so standard ones are more in keeping the theme. If your feeling flush maybe look at a Stack style panel to replace original clocks.

I wont be selling them, they do look superb and timeless but now that a few people on the forum have them I was looking to try something different. I was at a stage where I had started to save some money for a respray but decided against it for now. I was then looking at LSD's but realised that I could buy a set of wheels that I have wanted to try since my first car in 96. They will be hit or miss I think. They are silver though and staying with 17's.

Going through my phone and found this. Just shows how bloody small the car is compared to new cars. No wonder they weigh so much.

Nice, what silver is it? Mine was diamond silver. Fitted some G60 BBS's to mine and suited it perfectly.

Cazza's Storm- Gone :( ...S3 Has Arrived! :)
coullstar replied to CazzaVR's topic in Members Gallery
Shame. Wouldnt have thought is was Royal mail as all their vans have the bare plastic bumpers. Ive had this happen a few times and there is nothing you can do about it other then wrap the car in cotton wool. Its a total bummer but part of having a car that you care about. I was saving up for a respray in the summer but came to the conclusion that until I have a house with driveway or garage its not worth it. -
New wheels for the R. What do you reckon?
coullstar replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
Mmmmm not sure on them. Pic isnt the best, will look good though Im sure. Some serious kit on that site, some serious prices though. £5k+ for 3 way adjustable suspension!!! -
Do we get a discount through the forum?

I cant remember where I got the 8j LM reps from sorry. It was through ebay. On that front Ive ordered some new wheels. Believe it or not its only the 2nd time Ive ever bought brand new wheels. Taken a bit of a gamble but hopefully it should work. Wont be selling the RC's as they will either be going on the Golf or if I dont quite like the new wheels the RC's will go back on the Corrado the new ones will go on the Golf. Happily Ive never seen another Corrado with the new wheels fitted but Im sure they will be fine  . Gave the thing an oil and filter change and a good blast. Made it worthwhile going out when some old guy spoke to me for 15min about the car at the petrol station.

So how much is needed for fogs & indicators to gauge price? Might also do the upper rear lights on my spare set.

Heres the covers fitted to my car. Im doing the same as well I think to subtle tint should be spot on.

Where do you pay to keep your C and how much?
coullstar replied to Mcr VR6's topic in General Car Chat
Jesus you guys are paying bugger all. I thought I was doing well at £50 a month. Must be the Aberdeen tax again. -
So its got a fecked engine and has been written off before. Hope your getting it for peanuts. What colour is it? If its the blue then find out the colour code as its Storm specific. If its green it should have the cream leather. TBH it doesnt sound that great from what you have said, surely there are better cars going about. All I'll say it dont get seduced by the Storm thing, its technically no better a car than a standard VR.

Mk2 appreciation thread on ED38. Some crap cars but some stokers as well if you ignore all the poke stance dope chat nonsense.

Might be a bit far for me to travel  Some photos would be good though to show the set up. Oh and some healthy figures there with the car.

Did you use a kit for the battery relocation?
-
Tried with fingers but its damn tight. I would need some sort of implement to lever it out. Anybody got some good techniques to use?
-
I tried searching but couldnt find the answer. Looking at taking the outer rear window seal on my car. I know they are push fit but does anyone have a good technique for removing it? I dont want to get heavy and tear it or even worse damage the window/tailgate.

That not bad. I looked for ages to get one around my area (centre of Aberdeen) and most were at least a mile away and they were going for £100+ a month. Managed to get one 2min walk from the flat through a friend of a friend for £50 a month but it has no power. You will always be able to rent out a garage in a city from what Ive seen. -
Can you not buy direct from Pagid - http://www.pagiduk.com/products/

Ok, you must do this though below..... Was looking at Mk2's this week. I just cannot justify 3 cars so Im not going to bother. If its an 8v then it will be fine. They are pretty much bullet proof and a complete doddle to work on. You'll love it. Oh and Im sure youve said but whats that PAS bottle from again? Is it the Ibiza one? If it is do you have apart number?

No way you have a silver Mk2. I officially hate you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 91, no small bumpers though, I'll let you off.

Two replies I had for this. - -usually down the end of the block to the left of the crank pulley - this was form PhatVR6 who has seen more of the engines than hot dinners. or - I seem to remember they are stamped on the spine of the block just to the left of the flywheel when looking at the block from the front.

coullstar replied to LukeManic's topic in General Car Chat
That could mean 2000 of the 3000 failed first time. How many people are registered in here?
