  1. Decide to go for a wee drive instead of xmas shopping. Went a bit further than planned but glad I did. No snow yet but forecast this week. Will maybe head up when I get the snow tyres on. Anyway some photos for your pleasure.
  2. Some updates on the daily. Changed springs and of course wheels. Fitted some Recaro's as well. Happy with it now so I can start working on the Corrado. Maybe tomorrow, as the littlest hobo once said,.... Picked up some lower caps for the front and might take it down one ring on the rear. Ordered some of that Wurth silver paint to redo the RC's. Need to get my finger out and get the brakes fitted as well. Ive only had them for a year or so!!
  3. or this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4tuvOer_GI :cuckoo:
  4. Aye kinda fast. Just think though that the space shuttle gets to 25,000mph  and not quite as quick as this Those sort of speeds are just not fathomable.
  5. Yeah the body panels are no longer available and there was not many produced so that'll be why there are a lot of not mint cars.
  6. Have thought about it and TBH I dont think now is the right time to be buying one of these. When I give up the bike racing and have a bit more cash together then I will look for one. Wouldnt want to scrimp on one of these machines. As for the Group B I love how every factory had a different machine all with there own little quirks, noises etc. Its all too plain and boring now, bring back homol specials!!!!!

    Mixed Tyres

Front to back should be ok. Used to have ditch finders on the back of the Passat with good front tyres, lift of oversteer in an estate is quite funny.
  11. That would be a full nights takings!!!
  12. Yeah saw that. Theres that or this local one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-ur-quattro_W ... 23044144c8 or if I whore myself on the streets of Aberdeen for a while this one http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1247994.htm or maybe this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1287460.htm
  13. Looked at them before and that is an option but theres no real history behind the S2. The Ur is more iconic.
  14. Yeah I know he used to have one. The Lancia's not in question as I wouldnt get one unless it was a mint Evo, then your looking at 15K +. Only considering the Audi. Could never own a Subaru. I dont dispute their ability but I simply hate them. Ive got a confortable daily car so Im not worred about that. Its just one of these cars Ive always said I would own. Good thing is if you get one and maintain it well I cant see them loosing money now.
  15. I dont consider the Corrado that bad. Nothing majorly expensive apart from insurance and body panels. Oh and the odd engine conversion.......
  16. Ok, bit a whim here but after watching the topgear Lancia episode the other day Ive though about getting rid of the Corrado for a standard yet classic 80's rally car. Obvious choices are the Integrale or Ur Quattro. Lancia within my price range are the older "plain" version so Im not overly keen. There does seem to be a few Ur quattro's going around and two have come up close to me. I also think the audi 5cyl warble is the greatest noise ever to come out of a car. Am I mad to even consider one of these? Has anyone owned one that could offer any hidden ownership woes. Ive started to prefer original yet clean versions of these kind of cars now. It would be a second car only used about 6000miles a year.
  17. TBH Im 99% sure they are an aftermarket wheel. Probably early 90's ones. Price wise will depend on tyres. With decent tyres your probably only looking at £250-300 I think. Just fling them on ebay to find out.
  18. Easiest way is to get some bubble wrap for the faces. Cut some cardboard out to put over this and just use some brown parcel tape to secure the whole lot. Do each wheels as a time. Most courier companies will either take them as a whole or 4 seperate items. Ive used a company called Paisley Freight that advertise on ebay and they were £28 to pick up from Durham and deliver to Aberdeen for 4 x 17in wheels and tyres. As the tyres are on they will protect the rest of the wheels.
  19. Just a covering, its like a protective layer. Try putting some on the adjuster plates. Its just keeps them from corroding after which they are near on impossible to move. Yeah Superduke is easily the best bike Ive had, maybe get another one next year but I lost all interest in road riding. Its just not fun enough anymore. Luckily I race supermoto and do some MX though. Car looks very clean by the way.
  20. You think, not compared to a lot of other wheels mate.
  21. First thing is get some bike lube or copper grease on those coilovers threads. 2nd thing is you have a Superduke  . Sold mine a few weeks back, you have good taste.
  22. You want chilled, try Mazzy Star - Into Dust. Bonus point for naming the advert its in.
  23. Wont be Mercs as they dont use the 5x100 PCD. Only other companies are Subaru and Toyota as far as I know. They are aftermarket wheels of some sort.
