Its in. I just moved the battery over, moved the PS reservior and squashed it in against the wing. Not perfect but better than it was. Only way you use it properly is as you say battery in the boot.

There on the car behind i.e. the 4mo

Fitted the laminx to the fogs/ind. Looks okay but the numberplate now sticks out a bit too much. Might put some on that and cut it short. Also got some new bits. Bonnet cable has gone so new one to replace. Brand new leather gearknob, cold air feed for the BMC and modified OE short shift mech, cheers Dukest. Only issue is Im not sure how Im going to get the cold air feed in

Very nice and good price. So this is taking the Corrado's place then? Looking at new cars again as well  but nothing that will sound that good.

Personally Carbon Fibre just looks a tad chavvy IMO. Unless its there do do a purpose and is in use for fucntion rather than form why use it?

Does this stuff not only last for 4-5 years as well?

If you can wait till the weekend I'll have my subtle tint fogs in paired with the tinted headlight protectors. I think full tint would look too dark against green. I found it relatively easy to apply but did have a couple of bits near the sharp corners that are not perfect. Unless your very close though there not noticable.

If possible buy one with the remap and suspension done. They need it. -
Mk2's are great cars but its hard to compare them to the Corrado. As said it will be more dated then the Raddo but what do you expect, the design was first introduced early 80's. Also dont get caught up in the 8v / 16v debate as they are both good. Buying a Mk2 now is all about condition, buy the mintest example you can. I prefer the later small bumper models with the sinle front side window. A G or F reg diamond silver one would be ideal.

Has anyone ever not had that advisory on older VW's? I get that with every MOT but they are always going to have a little play.
-
A local guy I know built one in a Mk3. There is a build thread on clubgti, username VR6T. Sadly the car was rear ended not long after getting on the road so he no longer has it.

"Stance" is perfect as it is. Looks brand new. Only thing I would do is try a 90mm front.

I totally agree, i love it. I always had a soft spot for the Leon i had, so a 4wd V6 version of it is fantastic. It doest have the grunt of a VR6 Corrado but the power is so smooth.. Ive seen some pics of your one, very nice, were those Recaros expensive? I got a good deal with a local guy and sold my old interior so it only really cost me £150. Only issue is they are 3dr so the front seats dont sit as low but there much better.

He did say that he would give me a full refund if I wasnt happy but Ive got all the hassle of sending them back. Ive managed to get some part worns to replace them with but tried the wheel on the car and I dont really like the look TBH so I'll probably sell them on

Leonard's Corrado VR6 - 515bhp 5.9L's twin scroll turbo ;)

Cars looking really good. I like that idea but not sure it would work with the wheels, they are quite "classy" being polished an all so oval pipe would look good. Im contemplating the round slash cut idea at the moment i.e. have a backbox made up so I can swap out with my magnex when I feel like it. Is this what you were thinking about? -
The tyre is on a set of wheels Ive just bought so Im trying to find out what could have caused this before deciding what to try and get back from the guy that sold them. He said he used to work for Pirelli UK so I would have thought he would have noticed this. They were on a Mk4 Golf. The inner side wall (flat part) is ok with no wear at all. The tyre on the opposite side appears to have been ok. The outer part of the tyre is similar as can be seen in the attached photo.
-
I'll tell you tomorrow as I'll be doing mine. I ordered the 18x4in.
-
They are such a Qcar arent they. Best all round car Ive owned.
-
Dont know. Just got the wheels for the Golf and this is what one of the tyres are like. Not quite as described.
-
What do you reckon has caused this ridge to form? Running flat or excess wear / rubbing. Outer edge has similar wear but not to the same extent.
-
Who did the dash for you? I think leaving the vents etc works perfectly. Nice and subtle.
-
Liking that. Whats the spec on the Speedlines? Almost ordered a set of those myself. Flocked dash look ok and not as out of place as I thought. Might look into that.

The inspiration came from one of my all time favourite cars. FYI whilst ordering a new bonnet release cable from VW I asked about the OE leather gearknob. Only £27 so one of them on order as well!!! Ordered some subtle tint lamix as well to do the fogs/indi. If all goes well I'll probably do the top of the rear lights as well on my spare set. Its a 90's car so it getting some 90's styling 8)
