Is this what there like? http://www.zgapa.pl/zgapedia/data_pictu ... alibra.jpg Measure the centre bore first before doing anything though.
-
They werent on a Vauxhall were they?
-
Any photos? The wheel info is usually stamped on the back for BBS. If they wont even go on the hub it sounds like they may have been for a car with a smaller centre bore. Try and measure the size of the hole in the wheels rear. VW's need 57.1mm.

Pete Griff's 'Rado R32 - (Not quite!) Alive at last! :D

Cool, loving the Abt's. Looked at them while ago and pretty pissed of I didnt fir them now as they look way better than I imagined. Dont worry it is worth it in the end. -
However it does mean more spares and one less on the road i.e. making the remaining ones rarer. In this climate you cant afford to get sentimental i say. Saying that there doesnt seem that much to fix if you have the time. If it was a wrecked engine then I would.

Im very tempted, just dont have the spare cash at the mo. Heres an idea on price, I have emailed Rimstock direct though. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Team-Dynamics-Pro ... 240%3A1318
-
Exactly but slightly rounded plus a lot lighter than the MO's IIRC. Very interested to see what they will look like in the metal.

http://www.rimstock.co.uk/downloads/prorace3silver.pdf What do you think? Im kinda liking these although no 16in versions. 7x17in 8.2kg

Front right wheel bearing replaced and it still there, no change. Took of rear outer bearing, repacked and its still there with no change. Struggling with what else I can do. When the snow fecks off and I get time I'll change the rear set up completely.

Its good to be different.

TBH Id rather have the EB110. 8)

Thought it look like the West Coast. Brave man going over there this time of year, its a wild place at the best of times but amazing all the same. Thats where I head on the bike in Summer, proper roads.
-
Cool, where were you?
-
Is that at the wheels or flywheel?
-
I think the Storm thing comes from people who are not entirely clued up on the differences from a "standard" VR. They automatically think it has to be much better than a standard VR hece why its perceived as worth more.

Help! Rear wheel has collapsed in - Audi S3 '99
coullstar replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Does sounds starnge to have happened. Did it feel any different after the tyres were fitted? Im not aware of any issue with the S3, could they have jacked it up incorrectly and casued the problem? -
Thanks for the reply. IF I look at one it wont be for a wee while or if I give up the bike racing for one reason or another. TBH if I went for it I would sell the Corrado, couldnt justify having a daily, Corrado, TVR and road bike. Thats just taking the p*ss. I kind of feel guilty have two cars at the moment. Not really a fan of soft tops hence why Im not keen on the Chimera / Griffith. Running costs do seem a big step up but then you cant have everything. I just want a silly / stupid / impractical car while I still can.
-
I know they dont have the best rep for reliability but are they as bad as people make out in particular the Cerbera. I believe there was issue with the speed six as quite a few seem to have had engine rebuilds. Reason Im asking is that there are some right bargin Cerbera's going about at the moment and ive always wanted one.

You git it...... I cant see you guys (G60/VR) getting into the 40's....Give me time and I will join you   You want to bet...

Fifth Gear season 15 episode 5 - VW Scirocco - Mini Cooper S
coullstar replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Theres no denying the Mini's abilities but I cant get over how expensive they are for what is a small car. I looked at one when they first came out and took one for a test drive when I had my G60. The guy took mine out for a drive and loved it. I couldnt justify spending £11k+ on something that was probably less fun. -
Good work.

Personally if I was in that position I would be seam welding and putting a weld in cage in it. Full on motorsport project instead of bling merchant. Does it have a sunroof? If it does bin it. Is it actually good to go back to bare metal? Surely thats actually increasing the chance of any corrosion happening before paint is applied? Id go for something like this, minus the mirrors.
-
Im always amazed at the amount of folk that come back to these cars having had some serious other cars. Looking good. Little bit of work and it'll be looking mint. Your fair amount of bodywork needing done by the looks of it.

Did the strut tops fail because of play? Im pretty sure they normally have a little play in them so they may actually be fine.
