  1. Nah it the VR one, bought it form Steve@ on here, who bought it from was8v IIRC. They share the same MAF size. Its still a bit snug. I was almost thinking all satin black for the wheels like my old 17in saying that they do look good in silver - viewtopic.php?f=11&t=62808&p=733449&hilit=rx11#p733449
  2. New rear brakes fitted along with the BMC filter. Fixed a rattling heatshield, gave it a wash & polish and all seems well now apart from the boot lock not locking now and some slight rust on door. Wheels wise Ive managed to find some 16in Golf Anniversary wheels + tyres for a couple hundred that ideally need a refurb but i can do that myself. Just have to decide to go for silver or light grey centres now. Should sit good seeing as these are wider than the usual Mk4 versions.
  3. Well it worked  Put the two pads together and the new ones have an extra bit on the backing plate. Must be the wrong ones sent. Bought the full package of ebay about 6 months ago, shit happens.
  4. Mmm, worth checking but dont think so. Just checked Vagcat and there is different part number for the right and left carriers so maybe thats it. What a PITA, Ive done this loads of times and never seen this before. Sod it im going to the pub!!!
  5. Im 95% everything went on as it came off. Im sitting thinking about it and coming up with nothing. The disc seems to be sitting in the right place i.e. running righ in the carrier.
  6. Well Ive managed to get the old discs etc off with no issues, amazingly the caliper carrier bolts come out no bother. The problem now comes with the new set up. With new discs and pads and the caliper put back on the outer pads are cocked out. It appears that central raised part on the pad backing plate cannot locate in the slot in the caliper body. Its like the pads are too wide. I tried the old pads and it the same so something must be missing. The caliper body is sitting too far inboard compared to the disc. I'll look again tomorrow as it was dark when I got them on but Im sure its something obvious Ive missed. Any ideas? I think i mixed up the carriers when cleaning them but surely there not sided, or are they?
  7. Funnliy enough mine is like that right now as well.

    camber shims

Dont do it, looks shit IMO.
  9. Thanks, thats them on the blacklist then. The 3rd pic is A8 winter wheels. There quite rare and there a set for sale on here not that long ago. Nice but adapters are needed.
  10. There are 10 on the Corrado database in Denmark. You might be able to contact someoen through that to see if there are any for sale.
  11. No real update apart from tried an OE airbox from a 1.8T and Corrado VR and its a no go. Managed to pick up a BMC DIA and it just fits into the space plus it appears to be half way between a open cone and closed airbox in terms of noise. New rear brakes going on this weekend. Been looking at loads of different wheels and seeing as two tyres are almost shot its a good excuse to try some other wheels. Found a photo of some 1.8T wheels and it looks not bad. Also been back looking at 17's again. I prefer easily available ones that use OE bolts so thought about the TT 6 spoke as there pretty common. Maybe some black ones again with light tinted rears and the set up below up front. Then again I'll have changed my mind before the end of the day  . Quite like the Santa Monica's as well.
  12. Ahhhh everytime I see a clean Corrado on Solitudes I love it.
  13. Amazing work. I could never own a car like that, Id be too scared to drive it.
  14. Late Mk 3 stuff is a straight fitment with carriers and discs. Ive got a full set up sitting to go on mine for thr same reason that I wanted to retain the Speeline's. 8mm doesnt sound much but apparently the pad area is a lot better. Cool so just the carriers and discs to complete the 288mm conversion? Im pretty sure you need the calipers, carriers, discs and pads.

  16. For those thinking of the 675 i can tell you its easily the best supersports bike Ive had. Soooo much character and an induction note to die forr. Its not really a 1st bike though, the turn in very agressive. If I went back to a sportsbike Id have one of them again. This vid made me buy one, listen to it at about 44sec in. Its like a mini F1 bike. Oh and here my newish steed which is easily the best fun bike Ive had.
  17. Yeah I know what you mean. Need to blank of the CC hole first though. How easy would that be though? Im next to useless when it come to wiring etc. I also have the small fuse box sitting beside the wing as well.
  18. what about this? Mmm, thats a PsI car as well yet my PS reservior is in a different place. They must have moved the battery over as well as there is no room past mine. Long term plan is to put it in the boot.
  19. Anybody found a decent route for a cold air feed? Fitting a BMC soon will the cold air feed and looking at possible routes. Seems pretty limited in what you can do.
