Pete Griff's 'Rado R32 - (Not quite!) Alive at last! :D
coullstar replied to pete_griff's topic in Members Gallery
I would have thought the BMC would be reasonably quiet. It will be worth it. The noise is great, soemtimes it does get a little annoying but then sometimes it is brilliant. Will be interested to see you thoughts on the quaife and thats probably the next big thing for mine I think. -
other things to consider when lowering the corrado!!

80mm is not really that sensible, half that is probably good enough. Your changing all the right bits though. -
Does look good on the TT 16in. Im waniting to go back to 16in as well and they seem perfect.

Cool, PM with your details, cheque is no bother.

Is that the black one near Edinburgh. I think it was on ebay earlier in the year a couple of times for £2.5k. I emailed the guy and he said he would take £2k for it. The interior has obvisouly been changed as it has black leather door cards and grey cloth seats. The front bit behind the numerplate had also been cut out and replaced with a grill. He did send me some pics and there seemed to be no rust. I never went to see it plus he said it had been sat for a wee while. Seems genuine enough, worth going to see I reckon.

Ok, put me down for a 3 relay, non OEM connectors. How do you want paid and roughly how long do you think it will take?
-
Still think you should find the problem though. The spacers may work but its not really fixing the issue.
-
Can you show us what we get with the non OEM connector type?
-
Feck thats what Id have if I had the choice. Heres another Magnex from the rear.
-
To be different Id go the 16v Turbo route, really depends on what you want but the offer above sounds interesting. Not too many 16vG60's going about OR 4wd it and save up for the new engine.

Very strange. All looks normal although the rear spring plates do look quite big. Are you getting the rubbing as your going round corners, could be rear axle bushes possibly. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=74683&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Doesnt sound right, do you have any photos of the set up?
-
Go to the dealer and order front discs. Shoudlnt be too expensive and fit new pads at the same time. Pagid FR's seem to be good. Front brakes are a piece of piss to change.

I question how green electric cars actually are. Sure there going to reduce or elimintae emissions etc and reduce fossils fuel usage but what do we do with all the batteries? What do we do with old phones? Fuel cells seem to be the future but the infostructure seems to be the biggest problem here. Im pretty sure I read somewhere that Lotus engineering were working on using bio-ethanol, bio-methanol.

Well done for getting rid of the crap spoilers. Looking good, not sure on the 18's, seem a tad too big. I think the UK was one of the better markets for the Corrado.

Its lower than $50 now. We have to be careful in that it doesnt go to low. The low price means that the operators (BP, Shell etc) are cancelling drilling/completing of wells now as its not economically viable with the low oil price. If this continues for a couple of years when the recession is over and the demand for oil goes up we will have to wait a couple of years to catch up with the demand. The price of petrol will skyrocket well beyond what it was earlier this year.

Will 16" BBS RX fit over Ibiza Cupra R Brembo's?
coullstar replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Drivetrain
So technically they didnt fit then if you needed spacers. -
Note this must be a Mk5 R32 sump not the Mk4 as I found out. You need the oil pick up and pump as well. The baffled sump topic will tell you the part numbers.
-
Can you not compare to the wheels that are on it or say they spacer saver wheel with the standard bolts? IIRC that should be ok especially on the rears.
-
Plenty of clearance on these. 312/R32's fit no problem obviously.
-
Well I know they do wheels for the bikes as well and your looking at around £2k for the two.
-
Any pic of this?
-
Good things come to those who wait!!!
