I got a quote from him last year for both front wings and it was about £400.

AFR = air to fuel ratio. This is as it sounds, the ratio of air to fuel mixture. IIRC 13 is around what you want. PSI-g = Assuming this is the boost your getting from the Supercharger. Not really dealt with G60's so not sure what is good or not. Atmospheric pressure is 1 bar or 14.5psi. fFtlb = as you say, the amount of torque the engine has, effectively the pulling power of the engine.

The wheels really do look good. Where does the cold air feed route go from your BMC? -
I stay in Aberdeen, for the moment. Dont go to meets, not really my thing TBH. There is a local VW website www.eastsidevw.co.uk that meet on a Tuesday night. Some decent guys on there and some really nice local cars. I think the Ellon one is Ellon Auto Repairs. Protrim are supposed to be really good. http://www.protrimautobody.co.uk/index.html

A few places around here. Protrim just outside Stonehaven are supposed to be good. North East Autobodies in town and another in town that I cannot remember. Theres also one out towards Ellon thats supposed to be ok. Im need both arches, drivers sill and drivers door lower done as well. Was thinking of going to Protrim for a quote.

Mine, Tdi. Used and certainly abused but takes it in its stride. So nice having a car that you dont mind scratching etc. Tows the race bike with gennie in the back. -
Have fun, weathers looking good for the whole of this week so your going to see some special views. Just dont stop at everyone because it will take you days. Take a camera though and let some if the oter guys know what there missing up here. Ive actually got the day of on Friday but I'll be trying not to break any bones when motoxing.

Picked up the new wheels today and get the tyres swapped over on Thr. Need to figure out what colour to paint them though as two have been rubbed down. Still like the satin black idea as its easy to do and you dont have to worry about lacquer. Either that or standard silver. Had another look at cars last night and found a 2nd Ed30 Mk5 Golf for £50k  These ones.

Personally Id paint it but only the top part. I can just imagine some chav walking about seeing the car with a carbon bonnet and doing something nasty to it. Wheels look good. -
Yet to fully find out but I think were speaking thousands. Ive then got my bike to look at which will be even more so it might be a case of the bike or the car. In that scenario the bike will win. Car prices over there are at least 3x here. I saw a year old Toureg with a couple of thousand miles for about £90k

Springs are good, just what I was needing. Id never get near the money back Ive spent but its still needing some paint to finish it off. Norway is a lovely place and the women are stunning so its not all bad. I just dont want it sitting about for a long period of time.

Well I picked up the anni wheels and fitted them. Look good but they need a fair bit of work so I found a guy selling the TT 16in wheels in town for £50 and commited to buying them about 7 tonight. Put the BBS up for sale about half an hour later and it looks like there already sold. Going to swap tyres and fit them this week. That will be the 6th set in 10 months on the car. Might be moving to Norway with work and looking into taking the car or the bike. It looks like it is going to be mega expensive to take it into the country so it might be up for sale in the next couple of months :( either that or it will be laid up for a while.

What exactly is the problem? If its coilpack can you not just replace it, Im pretty sure its not that hard. There is the Aberdeen Volks Centre out at Kingswells but never used them. I think theres one down near Pittotdrie as well.
-
Correct and both are ET43. Ive got a set on my Mk4 and just picced up a set of the anni's for my Corrado. Heres my (green) with and old set of Mk4 versions and another car with the anni wheels.

Bored so here is a few Aprilla SXV - my next race bike Audi beast - Cool -

Now thats what mine is doing, where is this sender switch?

Do a search as there will be loads of topics. Main thing I do is make sure all bolts from the calipers and carrier will undo before starting. Not good getting one side done then finding a problem with the others. Make sure you clean the discs before putting them on. Put some copper slip on the pads backing plates. Clean everything up. You will need a g-clamp or similar to push the pistons back in and remember to take the cap of the brake fluid reservior when doing this. Watch for over spill as it eats paint.

Ive got the same I think. Fans are still kicking in but at about 90deg so thats all Im fussed about.
-
Liking that. Did the very same to my 1.8 16v many years ago. Simple yet very effective.

Cool, agree with painting the bonnet. Only the top though. If you dont mind could you out up some photos/details of adaptor once installed. If I still have the car I should really do this as well. -
This stuff is good at getting oil stains from others peoples drives as well :brickwall:

You basically wont do the place justice in a day. Remember a lot of the roads are popular so the dodling tourists will be about. I decent loop is if you start out from Pitlochry (note spelling for others  ) and head east up the hill over the Moulin Moor. This will take you to the Glenshee / Braemar road. Follow this past Balmoral and then head West over the Lecht road to Tomintoul and then on to Grantown on Spey. Head towards Aviemore and take the back road to Newtonmore not the A9. You can either then take the road to Dalwhinnie then on to the A9 to head back to Pitlochry http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... 3&z=9&pw=2 OR head towards Spean Bridge and Fort William along the Loch Laggan road (see the Hamish MacBeth House) From Fort William go down to Tyndrum through Glencoe, onto Killin, past Loch Tay to Aberfeldy. Through Aberfeldy onto the A9 and back to Pitlochry. 2nd option is quite long but by god is it amazing. Even the first option will give you some brilliant roads with over taking options and some amazing scenery. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... 5&z=8&pw=2 I stay in Aberdeen and we head out that way a lot on the bikes as the roads are fantastic and pretty damn fast in some places.

Hi, Looking at those prices I was damn lucky. Managed to pick up the shocks and springs for less than £300. I had old coilovers fitted previously and these are miles better. They make the car much more compliant on the road and lower about 40mm. The adjustability helps although Ive not played around with them much. I replaced all the top mounts, springs plates, bump stops etc at the same time which added about another £100 on top but its worth doing.

Didnt realise, must be a ballache sometimes. I just saw your post about them, yours are a bronze colour and good job on them. Dont like gold normally at all but they look ok. Outer rims were in good condition so Im not surprised they came up well. Im pretty sure a local guy that used to be on here had the exact same wheel scheme as the wheels above on his green Storm and it looked brilliant. The light grey is good for hiding brake dust as well.
