  1. They are very rare. There was a set on ebay the other week though.
  2. Do a guide to help others in the future.
  3. Dont fit Angel eye headlights, there tacky. Apart from that your doing all the right things. Just drive it and enjoy!!
  4. Tyres are too small, doesnt look right and I'll echo the stretch comments. Apart from that there fine.
  5. Where did you get your spoiler from? Dont fit 40 profile tyres to the wheels solitudes, it will look stupid and only increase the tyre to arch gap not to mention knock your speedo / odo out. Ive got 195/50/15's on and I wouldnt go any less, in fact I think the car will better to drive once I get the standard 205's on.
  6. Not really just one more thing to go wrong and sap engine power. LHD, auto with air/con, probably the first three things I wouldnt want. Does seem like a US car with the CAT light on the dash. That being its probably a only 2.8.
  7. If that was one take thats amazing. 3min in is my favourite bit, perfect judgement.
  8. Is it not a requirement that Xenons lights need automatic adjument from inside the car for an MOT though? Ive bought some of the Halford super bright bulbs(they were doing 2 for 1 offer). Was out for a long night run the other weeks (in the Scottish hills) and I didnt have a problem with the lights. Could be better but they werent that bad so much. I do have one of those ebay looms but not fitted it yet. Maybe this weekend.
  9. Will they still pass an MOT (or is that Xenons Im thinking of)?
  10. No problem, here another photo if it helps. Probably easier with a side on shot of your car and a picture of these in silver. You thinking of changing the colour then?
  11. Its the little ones you normally get free when you buy the main ones from powerbulbs. W5W I think.
  12. Are the brakes standard? Brave man if they are although Oulton should be too bad. Ive done it on the bike before and it was great but a hell of a slippy in the wet.
  13. http://www.mtm-online.de/en/index.php?n ... CIROCCO147 Mis-quote. Its 270hp and 380NM. Dont care, I think it looks amazing.
  14. I went past and thought "nah cant be". Was on my way to pick up my new Konis from the couriers.
  15. Im going to wait a year or so till there a few 2nd hand ones knocking about. I love it.
  16. Be careful with the wheels weight and sizes. I had about half a dozen sets on mine including OZ lightweight 18in and the best overall was a set of 17in Skoda Octavia VRs wheels. By the way your reg doesnt end DEP does it as I passed a Blue 4motion near the airport on Sat morning.
  17. I never did a Masters but the best thing to do is look at future jobs and see if it will help you. The Masters for my Mech Eng degree was basically just the same amount of work as the BEng final year but spread over two years rather than one. Good work with the car by the way.
  18. Where are you doing your degree? I had a place on the first Masters in Motorsport Eng @ Cranfield but sadly I couldnt afford to do it.
  19. Not that bad if you think that a new Corrado VR was about the same price over 10yrs ago.
  20. There just fake studs from what i heard.
  21. Check ED38, theres a guy selling an exhaust for one of these. Where in Aberdeen you picking it up and what time, I could maybe give you a lift from the airport (assuming your flying)?
  22. I took mine out and sprayed it gloss balck. Looked a lot better.
  23. Spot on there and Ive had a Mk5. The Mk4's were a massive jump from the Mk3 and still cut it today. I really dont think you will get a better all round car than a 5dr 4motion. There small enough to still be relatively quick, you can throw it around, 4wd is great with our climate (and for future FI upgrades), the hatchback allows you to haul big loads, there nice and subtle, sound great standard and all for less than £3k. Ive just talked myself into getting another I think. Stan, dont fancy a Tdi do you?
  24. Theres a guy selling genuine Santa's with tyres for £200. He stays in Glasgow so you could pick them up on the way down. http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=186172
