  1. What are you basing that on? Surely if it had the same flow area it wouldnt matter what design the end piece is. Theres guys on here that have had 2.5in systems with 3 boxes and 400bhp+ which believe me is more than enough. Whats the target power?
  2. So you have a fake one at the back and the side exit? If it were me going side exit I would gone for a flat rectangular design. Round just doesnt look right IMO. It must insanely loud as well.
  3. Your ears will bleed with a straight through system. I had a one box system and it was too loud. Went to two box 3in with CAT in place and it made next to no difference in power and stopped the awful smell too. Regarding the brakes biggest is not always best either. Again on my old VR there was Willwood 6 pots on 312 discs and I did two trackdays with no issue at all once decent pads were used. These are thin calipers and would allow 16in wheels use. I could even fit a beetle steel 16in with 15mm spacer on. They will have a lot lower unspring weight as well unlike the massive Porsche calipers or other 8pots. Im loving the car already and all these littel touches are what would make it. http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=562_588&products_id=15130&osCsid=qo6q3m1d9pek2olk9iaopcnvj5
  4. I must be an easy chap to please as I have new mounts, shifter and 288 brakes ready to fit but Im happy with current ones. Weirdly Ive never had any issues with standard wipers but I Rain-X all my cars regularly. For me the only 100% must do is the uprated headlight wiring loom, I can live quite easily with the other bits.
  5. Yes, I got it of the clock so it would have been indicating about 175mph I reckon but using gearing charts it would have been a true 160mph-ish.
  6. Just looked at your add. Some nice work but you will not even get close to your asking price. I sold one in similar spec last year for basically £7k and there was one for sale recently with a low comp forged bottom end that was going for less than that. Not helpful for you but a sense check is required on asking price.
  7. TBH I woudlnt just limit yourself to a Storm but get the best example you can when it comes up. There are a local few that would be worth a look like this low mileage red one - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3805671.htm or this blackberry one with cloth recaro's which are rarer than any storm specs - http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/vw-corrado-vr6/101278642
  8. Are you keeping the standard inlet? Im just worried as its so close to the turbo.
  9. Loose the skirts and it would look a lot better I think.
  10. They are suprisingly stable at those sort of speeds.
  11. You wont make much money back on selling the engine to be honest so dont bargin on that. Just get the best shell you can as everything else can be changed. The 3.2's are naturally going to be better as they learned from the VR6's mistakes i.e. poor head design and poor cooling.
  12. How many bloody Minis are there now. They are a marketing dream for BMW. I feckin hate them!!!
  13. Much like RS6's then. Fookin expensive if that goes wrong!!!!
  14. That was my concern. Would be fun if it did!!
  15. GT35 is very good as Kev said. I had one in mine as well. Low boost and some impressive figures, they really are torque monsters. I miss the feeling soo much, I think I will have another one day. Best thing to do is compare power / torque graphs to show the difference rather than just look at numbers.
  16. Id leave the 288's on if I were you so people can still run 15in wheels if they buy.
  17. It ended a good while ago but I came across this doing a google search. Its for sale on Edition38 at the moment.
  18. Yeah its down to £5.5k but that with an extra set of wheels. As you say total bargin. Must resist!!!!!
  19. Well I sold mine for just under £7k but it didnt have forged bottom end. Todays climate you woudlnt get that, it is on ED38 at the moment.
  20. Has anyone come across this car before? Looks a well speceed car and knowing MRC it should be well built. HGP is good stuff as well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Corrado-vr6-HGP-Turbo-350bhp-/160730016056
  21. So are Mk2's now. A lot of hidden issues much like I suspect some Corrado are now.
