CF F1 Fantasy League 09 -Final results...who won, who lost?
Sonicriot13 replied to The_Dude's topic in General Car Chat
BOO!!! ;) Lewis showed them how to do it. As long as you dont do what the media have done and suddenly start supporting Button.... damn glory supporters. Er, I definitely won't be supporting Button. Maybe that new guy. What's his name? -
CF F1 Fantasy League 09 -Final results...who won, who lost?

Feel really bad for Massa. Don't really know who to cheer for now. :( Definitely not Lewis though! -
Bit of insider VW info just because I can now. 8) VW are saying Top Gear borrowed a blue, a black, and a white Scirocco for next week's show to use in a feature about making a car ad. It's about time they had the new Rocco on there properly!

Into Dust by Mazzy Star. Proof if ever there was that sometimes the simplest song can be the most stirring. Remembered it cos it's on the Virgin Media ad at the moment.

I'm not feeling this series as much for some reason. Still enjoying it and watching Hammond on that track had me in stitches. He's cr@p! But I don't find myself laughing as much as previous serieses. And they do that "much later" "much, much later" thing to death. It's barely raising a chuckle now. Hope I don't get too bored of it. Still haven't recovered mentally from getting bored of the Simpsons. Top Gear over Fifth Gear any day though!

Now that's a tidy bay! I would put a picture of mine up but it's a disgrace. :(

That paintwork is immense. Bet that won't fade like Tornado Red! Gives me an idea....

I've had enough - I'm selling the Corrado
Sonicriot13 replied to djmac56's topic in General Car Chat
I know exactly how you feel and most on here would. I count myself lucky that I don't need my Corrado on a daily basis. And frankly it should be counting itself lucky I don't need it on a daily basis too! Also when mine is getting me down, as it is now, I can just stick it in a garage and forget about it for a bit until the love returns. If I couldn't do that would it still be in my possession now? Not so sure.... -
I picked up this brochure at Goodwood a few years ago and thought I'd scan it up on here. Not seen it on here before and thought some people might find it interesting. 8)

VW seem to be doing alright compared to some. And I'm glad the rocco is selling well. It's one those brands that will always be busy because their cars are awesome. 8) Hyundai are doing really well on the scrappage scheme. Too well. They ran out of cars about a month ago. There's a 3 month wait on the i10 and i20! You don't hear that on the news.... I can't wait to drive the mk6. I really really loved the mk5 and I want to compare them. Some people are saying there isn't a great deal of difference but you never know until you drive them for yourself. But what I really can't wait for is the Scirocco R. :luvlove: :luvlove: :luvlove:

The battery is pretty new. Have checked all the interior lights. Pretty sure it's something to do with the ancient alarm that it has. The one that I have the fitting certificate from 1992 or whatever it is. The battery will go flat in about 3 days from full charge if the car is not used. Yeah I need to retumble the locks. Fortunately the key that unlocks the boot is the same as the ignition so all I need to worry about is matching the door handles up to that key like you say. Think my car has been through quite a few different door handles in its time judging by the amount of keys I have!
-
You're right buddy. Just went out to it to open the bonnet to get a picture of the leak and it's dead. Battery is flat so the remote locking won't work but none of the five keys I have unlock either of the doors so I'm going to have climb in through the boot. again. That's another problem, battery dies in no time. Thought it was the stereo I'd put in but I've disconnected that and it still goes flat. Gonna leave it for a bit and get a list of all the things I want to do and save up. At least I'm not thinking of selling it. Learned that lesson from my last g60.

Yes matey, I just hope you don't regret saying that one day! Same here though, I know very little about 24v turbo conversions but if you need a spare pair of hands give me a shout. :D I can hold some mole grips or something. It's not a fiddle, it's more of an evasion.... No wait, that's not the right word either.... Um, we'll leave that there I think....
-
Dealerships tend not to have too much big stuff registered for "benefit in kind" reasons. There is a rocco but the business manager uses it.
-
I think we're getting to that point mate. Got to have the will power to just get on with it. I always struggle because I reach a point where I just want to drive it....
-
 How many times have I been asked that in the last week? Can't wait to see what car I get. Probably can safely say it ain't gonna be a rocco or a mk6 GTi though.... But at least I'll get to drive them on a regular basis. 8)

I am going to be a salesman at Northgate VW. 8) I'm made up mate. Can't wait! :D Probably part of the problem with the Rado though. Finding it difficult to concentrate on anything else.
-
Ok mate, I'll have to get a pic up tomorrow of how it is now but you can see a few pages back what it was like when I got the old one off. Not sure if it's my fault, may have been a little harsh with the wire brush?

At a bit of a loss about what to do with my G60 at the moment. Completely run out of steam. I start my new job on Monday and will be getting a company car so have flogged the goof which went to its new owner a couple of days ago. The Corrado has suffered a catastrophic water leak from that flange that I replaced. I just can't get it to seal and have lost enthusiasm. Sounds a bit drastic but I'd love to replace the cylinder head.... Other than that it's SORNed (no point in taxing it if it's dumping its coolant faster than I can top it up) and sat in my garage looking sorry for itself. Guess I've just had too much other stuff to think about. If I'm honest I've done my damnest to keep the thing on the road this last year and a half without forking out major whack but it's starting to beat me now. Time for the restoration I think. But where to start? :(

You can't go adding rules half way through Jon. Evos are cool. RS4 as said. Golf GTi 5dr?

WTF???? Random Corrado forum T-Shirt...
Sonicriot13 replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
I'd just like to say that has NOTHING to do with me. -
Maybe it's just about worth getting married...
Sonicriot13 replied to Sonicriot13's topic in General Car Chat
Er dude, put The Grand Hotel Eastbourne into Google and have a look at their rates for a wedding reception! In fact have a look at their rates for doing anything! Doesn't matter, its still Eastbourne which is where old people go to die. :D I can think much nicer places to get wed.[/quote:xy9nbp2l] True, it is were old people and depressed people go to die. But I can think of worse places to go to die. In fairness the actual marriage itself may not have been in Eastbourne. Just the reception. -

That's a wild and dangerous assumption. Probably right though....
