'ello there mate! Welcome to the madness! Sounds like you got yourself an awesome deal there. Congratulations! We are all very jealous!
-
Very nice indeed. 8) But you're a braver man than me if you take that on.... :D
-
I would buy it. But the mileage is putting me off....
-
Good point.
-
Me too. I've never been in a fight before but I'm pretty good at hurling verbal abuse! :censored:
-
Nah, you guys are way off. It's got to be bird flu that's doing it.
-
F*ck dude, that sucks! Hope you find it mate. And I hope the teething little goits get what's coming to them. :2gunfire:
-
Here's inside. The ducks were eying it up! What a waste though. :(
-
Two thousand of your English pounds for a Storm! And a mystic blue at that. Proper, proper jealous am I!
-
Judging by the state of the water I think it's more of a brown motion....
-
 There are some clever people in Stowmarket. I love the thought of counting myself among them. It's a 56 plate as well....

I think a location of NDS is more likely to be Nederlands isn't it? It could be Australia for all I care. I'm 100% sure Torsten is German. But usually when I'm 100% sure about something I turn out to be 100% wrong....

Someone traded in an Alfa Romeo 147 this morning for one of our cars and they were kind enough (not many people are these days it seems) to leave the tax disk in the window... so naturally it came home with me. :D Now, I know it's only a 147 and it's not going to set the world on fire, but it is a 2.0 16v and it certainly has some go! It's the first Alfa I've ever driven and they finally make sense to me know. What an involving little car. The engine is lovely, really lovely. The handling feels a bit woolly at times but I'm just putting that down to the kind of thing I'm more used to driving. Tellingly I just got in it this evening and started driving just for the hell of it. I went to Ipswich and back on the A14 just for the fun of it, despite the fact that it's tipping it down. It's the first time I've done something like that since I had the Rado. So, for any Alfa people out there I can see why you put up with the unreliability and the stupidly long wait for parts.... If the little hatchbacks are that good at being driver's cars what are the driver's cars like? And I am now aching for some more. Hopefully someone will trade in some Alfa with a V6 in it at some point.... I can dream.... Oh, and one bad thing, the fuel consumption is terrible!

I think you should get more into the mk3 world. Then you can give your Corrado to me. :D I'll even come all the way to Germany to pick it up....
-
The Scirocco is too a coupe. It says so in Auto Express so nah!
-
Looks a bit like the new Scirocco from the back.... I like it!
-
Thinking about it, I wonder how much the journos are getting as a backhander from VW every time they call it a coupe. Even I don't think it's a coupe. I can't see that someone who makes their living out of writing about cars could conceivably call it a coupe unless there was some motive behind it.
-
Oh yeah, cos that's the first time the motoring press have talked bollox about a car.... I am a bit surprised at the level of negative feeling towards this car. I think you all just got your hopes up too much. You'll learn. Appreciate things for what they are. Don't worry about what they could have been.

No, not the most inspirational vid ever. And haven't they borrowed the sound track with all it's whooshy noises from the polo blue motion promo vid? I want to hear some really nice exhaust note. I don't want to hear whoosh swoosh mooosh sound effects. Plus I've heard a polo blue motion. It sounds like every other three cylinder diesel engine. Sh!te. Does that mean the new Scirocco sounds sh!te too? That vid raises more questions than it answers. I just can't wait to get behind the wheel of one. At the moment, even after that vid I still like it.

Hey, welcome to the Forum! 8) Try the knowledge base accessed from the board index. It's a good place to start. I had Golfs for years but there's nothing quite like a Rado. Is the mk2 a valver?

saw this on Vortex... anyone know the story

Looks like an early mk3 though. Looks like square side repeaters? But the engine is a VR right? :? -

:iamwithstupid: And welcome to the forum! :D -
If I was looking for a car that I was going to keep for a while I'd happily part with 2 grand for one in good nick. If we're talking about 200k then that car may have up to 5 more years left in it depending on how much mileage you put on it. Which makes 2 grand sound a real bargain. It is difficult though, there is so much to consider when judging what a Rado is worth these days. Whereabouts is the car? There may be someone off here who can go and view it.
-
Yeah, it's true. A well looked after Valver is good for 200k. Just look for one with plenty of history with no expense spared by previous owners. And every Rado is gonna have problems. They're really old now. Regardless of mileage. Unless it's been completely restored recently... in which case the mileage would be pretty much irrelevant anyhow. Oh, and welcome to the forum me lado! 8) :D

That looks like some sicko Hostel style torture chamber for Rados. I'm going to have nightmares now.... :(
