with the ignition switch on do you have 12v @ the coil?
-
Just looked at your sigs.i thought you had a valver for some reason. Not sure how relevant my advice is nowfor a Vr6

it is easy enough to replace once you have taken off the intake manifold and anything else that will stop you from taking off the cylinder head cover. It is one of the seals between the cyclinder head cover and the cylinder head. U'll want to replace all the clinder head/cam cover gaskets while your there along with the intake manifold gaskets.

8) Solid work as ever. It's rude not to go outside and do something in this weather. :)

Interesting..a team or initially just to supply engines?

is your car overheating? The system should be able to cope tbh..

and take off the little sort of half moon shaped cover plate first for a little more room.

i don't mind the heat. My company car has aircon. I don't use it.Just wind down the windows.

the 1.8t rails have the correct spacing but have to be modified. You want to do this with the standard fue system or are you thinking of installing megasquirt?
-
nothing out of the vag box (oh dear lol) for what you have in mind.
-
I can't argue with your experience,if that's hw you felt but I personally wouldn't bother. were they new standard leads ?
-
i have always found the clutch system relatively easy to do on my corrado. Pressure bleeder like the ezee bleed kit is a real god send(maybe a must) for this type of job. Makes it a one man job.

/\/\/\/\ www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/bbc_sports is quite handy. Not the same as watching it on the tv etc but better than nothing. :)

mclaren were pooh.

could be a few things tbh. Unburnt fuel could be weak spark or over fueling due to bad info received by the ecu for example bad lambda reading. Maybe check that the lambda wiring loom plug is in good order and not suffered from heat damage.Maybe think about changing lambda sensor too. How long ago was last service,ie when were ignition components last over hauled.. etc Good luck.

I see what you mean now as riley has a seperate boost and vac guage.Guage whore. My guage just measures both. You can attach an air pressure gauge be it positive(boost) or negative (vacuum) to any engine mate.
-
vacuum is another indication of a healthy system. shows that your engine has good compression and is generally running smoothly. Also it will highlight a vacuum leak quickly. It is something I definiteky like to see.

ughh.... early. :)

i would imagine there is a soft cut( retart timing )and then a hard cut(fuel cut) at some point later,..
