90k on a 5 year old car!! thats not average miles for a petrol motor. Thats been well used. Personally a car like that needs to be purchased from new. they are built for one thing only! thrashing. -
New Car Time - My hand has been forced Alfa here I come!!!!!

Saab all the way, Alfa's build quality alone puts me off, I've yet to sit in an alfa that doesnt feel cheap. The Saab 9-3 is so refined in the cockpit. Even the Key is refined!! Plus Saabs are real street sleepers. they dont look it...but they move very well -
From what i remember from when i was looking into this for my g60, you needed Ibiza ones for the G60 and Leon ones for the VR, you just buy the carries that match the caliper from SEAT.

Drive the car onto some planks and then get a normal trolley jack under it! If you cant get clearance, use the normal jack to raise the body then a trolley jack under the main suspension to raise the whole suspension. use axel stands as you go.

white at revs is not good, check you water level, could be the headcasket

i used to hit 13 on a hot day in spain, 15 in the cooler winter months

European test are fare better than the uk ones, any changes to the body, engine or wheels base need to be documented. in spain rolling the arches mean the car would need to have the width of the car changed too.
