yeah thats the cross member you need. while your in there, change the engine mount and and give the water pump a good check, if you are doing some mode you might want to upgrade the thermostat will you have the front off. I'd also change the heat exchanger for the oil filter too as they are a know week spot.

Harsh! :-P It has one lady owner, 36k, standard, is mint underneath, arches are mint, interior is mint, floor and boot pan are mint. It has some cosmetic rust on the rear outer arches. Once the front end is sorted, and the engine is running this lil baby will be worth a fair whack. One was for sale on passionford, with 101k, for £1400, so when this is sorted it'll be worth £2k+ just ribbin you mate

I got some of those bulb from Halfrauds last week, they are very good, they were on bogof. so got 4, £90 worth of bulbs for £45.

i did mine today too. started at 10:30 ish finished at 5 and i've not even done the inside yet. Wash it twice, dried, step on of meg, clay bar, step two and three etc. they went round with the tyre stuff before doing all the detailing with the brush to remove the polish in the cracks etc. Tomorrow i will do the Glass and interior, all the door checks etc. it looked ace tonight.

Yeah being as my missus and i can car share all but one day a week that may be an option, might buy a nail for a few months or something. I've got money sitting in the bank so some off it, but i dont really want to touch that as its a house deposit.

Well I went to see two R32s at a stealers today, and i can honestly say given the price tag on the screens I was very disappointed. For the top money they wanted, they were less than spot on. the newer one a mk4 at 17k plus, and within seconds of walking up to it i could tell it has had a hard life. The rear window was tinted with film and the dealer clearly removed an old sticker and pulled some of it off and put a new dealer sticking in its place, it looked a right mess. The rear bumper was twisted. where is had been reversed into something. the front skirt and bumper looked like it has been driven over speed bumps a 100mph. the other..cheaper at 16.5k was just really dirty inside. ash everywhere, marks in the paint and i even suspect it has the rear bumper sprayed. let alone the marks on the rear light clusters. The saleman told me that they had them of VW uk. i mean if thats the standard of second hand cars they are knocking out...I'll be steering well clear. :cry: didnt even want to test drive them i was soooooo disappointed at the standard.

they were made by Quantum for VW and they are there naffest fitting flap i've every seen, however, they do come off without ripping you car to pieces. i lost one within days of having them on my C. i sold them on ebay after that.
