Jason quick tip for you, use VAG oil filters on the G60 engine, they are the best filters around and have better filtering than off the shelf items. Unlike most cars the g60 is one engine you want to run an OEM filter

The VAG group is now set up so that Audi is the merc competitor, VW is going up market to fill audi's old shoes and Seat is going for the sportier approch and younger image, and skoda will never be cool. I like the Leon, it is a bit plastic but all cars are now for safety i guess. the driving position sucks in the seat as it not the corrado one, but hey you only get that in another C or a go-kart. The Cupra R is mentally fast, the three letter TDI normall Leon is fast but my G60 is as fast and pulls away at the top end. lower down the speed range the leon diesel does well to keep up (raced a few). I hear jabba are getting about 400bhp out of them I'm really torn between the cars, old and new, Im going to have to test drive the leons and a few other cars too. (nothing like a few car brouchers in the back of a car when going to a garage to look at one.) I have a few months to make my mind up and save for a large deposit on a new car or engine for the C.

Assuming you have removed the chin spoiler do the followinh first jack the car up onto stands, remove and disconnect fog and indicators plus air temp sensor on the inside of the chin spoiler on the right hand side of the car. now crawl under the car and look up at the main cross member under the engine. on each side you will see three bolts. the two outer ones hold the bumper in (NEVER UNDO THE MIDDLE ONES) otherwise the engine will fall on you. DO NOT MOVE THE CAR WITH THE BUMPER OFF. the rear bumper is held in with the same size bolts all be it at the rear, the bolts are hiden in the chassie and you need to look striaght up at them to see them. Options as Follows Buy a New Seat Leon Cupra R 1.8t 20v, with about 225bhp, 230Nm/torque or the 1.9TDi with 150bhp or whatever it is with 320N/m tourque. Buy a Golf Ltd for a REAL 16VG60 buy any of the above engines and slap it into my C.

pearly if that is a front spoiler on the rear bumper, take it of your C it looks silly

its a hyundi!!! or however the hell you spell it, which mean it looks ok (well there new designs are getting better) but is really just a plastic fantastic mess

Providing the intellistart is set up correctly you cant do that as in manual gearbox mode you have to set the intellistart, remove the key then lock the car and alarm. in auto gearbox mode the car can be started without having to set it up first. Its great in the summer with the aircon on or winter with the heater on, good party piece.

remote start does invalidate your insurance in the uk but who cares, they will never know.

UK cars never had airbags as stated above however, Some late US spec C's had them, only a very few, i've seen foto's and if you look on the parts CD there is an airbag option and parts

coilovers are a spring and shock combined into one unit and the spring wraps tightly around the shock so you have more wheel clearance and they are normally adjustable

the current car speed is on the needle and the MFA provides an average speed over the present journey or journeys within 2 hours

im guessing they dont change them cost the pipes can corrode and break up when changing them costing the customer more money

there is a kit to do it to the mk2 converable, but the grill is horrid.

i have them colour coded but they paint comes off if you dont do it properly. you need a good primer

if the instructions say fit it instead of the membrain do that, but if they say fit it to the panels then do that. if your gonna drive the door speakers hard then the skins are gonna move no mater what you stick to them. all your doing its moving the resonance frequceny somewhere else in the frequency range. which is not the ideal result but a "will do method" the best thing to do is fine what vibrating inside the door and bolt it down harder stopping the vibration traveling into the door skin. However if the door skin is being pumped by the speaker driver no mat on the panel will stop that. SO why is it stuck to the door instead of the membrain? to stop the door card vibrating, the plastic membrain wont stop the sound waves as it too thin and not dense enough, and you dont want sound coming out of the door through the door card you want all the sound to come from the speaker, and who gives a dam what the car sounds like outside as long as the stereo sound good inside.

its can be swapped over but to do the center of the dash including heater control is a pig and you need to find a donor dash to take out the switch housings

why do people spend money on sound deadening only to slap it to the metal of the cars body and ignore the instructions and loads of reasearch and development that goes into these products?
