Despite your sig, it is perfectly fine to raise your car so that the lip doesn't rub. I'm pretty sure neither the scene police or any dub heroes are going to come and kill you in the night. Also, most VW dealers (including your local VW Breeze on Shirley High St - my hood) have telemaphones and you can telecall them and ask if they have one in. The part number is 53521D10T.

I'll wrap them in tin foil for you at £75 a light.

Sorted out insurance today, got a classic policy for me an the International licensed missus for around £400! Quite happy with that :D pick up the wagon on friday.
-
Thanks Wullie. ---------- Post added at 02:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:18 PM ---------- Guess I'll be taking the Plum's fusebox with me on friday :D
-
Relay Wiggle. Cool, thanks carrots. I'll remember that for friday :D
-
Anyone know what it could be? I'm guessing perhaps a fuse or something. Don't pick the car up til friday - getting used to diagnosing my cars before I collect!! (joke about the Plum).
-
On the bright side, your interior will be nice and steam cleaned?
-
Use the search Jez, there is a definitive wheel thread!
-
possibly a seatbelt tensioner? Looks more like something they had in the US than we did.
-
I think VAG have changed a lot of the strengths of their bolts. I remember when the front bottom ball joint bolt (holding ball joint into hub.housing) changed size completely! It went to 16mm from 17mm, or 17mm from 18mm. Something like that.

So what you're actually saying is that your conversion is still not finished. Tut tut ;) :D

Ok, so i bought a Mk2 8v GTi today  it's just out of MOT but i'm going to pick up and drive straight back to my local garage which I'm pretty sure is kosher? Will get a list of advisories from last year, and if I have to I'll strip parts off the plum to get it through the test. Really missed my old 16v so it'll be nice to have a car to just get out in once in a while :D more pics and details to follow.

Looks nice, but impact gun on the bumper bar...... why??? Also underside may have seen many trolley jacks! Using wood between the jack and floorpan tends to leave no marks :D
-
^^^ any chance of some diagrams with that? Kinda hard to follow. Also, what is the blue Corrado manual?
-
Bumper bracket bolts are main elements in the cross-member though, the stubby one (number 7) is just to locate the radiator panel I think. No luck in bentley, can't see those torque settings in there either. If anyone has a Mk2 Golf Haynes, that will probably have it in.
-
He might as well buy new, they're not muuch more than that for a pair at VWS.
-
You will have more work to do on that one Corrado, than all the Golfs put together. Welcome to the danger zone :D
-
a part number starting 191 will be for a Mk2 golf.
-
what one of these is correct for late 1993 corrado 2.0 16v
boost monkey replied to bobbymkII's topic in Engine Bay
191 part numbers - Mark 2 Golf. 535 part numbers - Corrado. -
I'm pretty sure mine are less corroded. I'll try to dig out some photos. Just send me postage and we'll call it even.
-
I have a 2.0 16v fuel pump assembly from a breaker I would be willing to post you.I have no need for it. Let me know which parts you want, all the lines are coming off it like an octopus at the mo. Jon. p.s. not sure if they're still available.

God, I found it hard enough with the beam off the car! ---------- Post added at 11:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:04 AM ---------- Filthy. ---------- Post added at 11:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:07 AM ---------- of course I don't really think Corrados are that great because I've owned mine for 3 years now, and driven it maybe for 6months
