  1. Not in the rado but in the daily (Focus). Twice - 1 last year, and 1 the year before that, at around the same time - were'nt "crashes" tho. 1st - driving at 5mph straight on - skidding on breaking (10ft-ish) then scraping into an Audi's side, knackering my track rod ends... 2nd - round a corner black ice at 8mph (coz I looked at speedo), car slid sideways into kerb knocking front suspension out of place... Got winter/snow tyres (Continental ones) & extra wheels ordered for this time round tho (nowt to brag about steel 14's) and a massive spade thing de-icer, and some arm bands coz they're high visibility - so we'll see if they'll all do the trick. I'm preparing for the worst ahem...
  2. Interesting read this thread... I started brick'n it at about 125-130-ish - felt a tad unstable. Could just be just rear wheel balance issue
  3. Smoking... Was that R32 rado front wheel drive or four? Or is it just "brake set-up"?
  4. Keeping above ^ related to your thread Neokitz, yeah it's a sh*ter when it happens but you're in a rado so who cares.
  5. I have to write this, but in early days of owning the VR, around midnight, on joining empty motorway junction to join M60, had a nice run off away from an Audi A8 pre-hand. Left it for dust at traffic lights a while back, but wasn't trying or making a point - just enjoying myself... Next minute the black Audi A8 had caught up on joining the M60. I was already flooring it, and it left me for dust... Must've been a W8 or something but it had soon buggered off into the distance... Needless to say I kinda felt :pale: like a flaccid ex-porn star after that experience. Do these things have bi-turbos?
  6. http://www.kemo-electronic.de/en/Car/Mo ... hicles.php However bought the same thing off ebay - no more cat & dog sh*t in the driveway. Might work with rats... Will attract the odd bat squeak due to the ultrasonic frequency, but they bugger off too...

    wtf

Not for me - would only redo it to oem spec
  8. The only way it would look good is if you took the existing headlight clusters out, then placed a home-made front grill (about 3 standard grills fused together), across the whole front of the car, then slip the led's in the gaps.
  9. Opens fridge door... reaches for the mustard and tinfoil of h...
  10. I really like that, looks tidy 8) Not too OTT, but noticably different. :D The arches look too high for my liking - Most cars with that profile would look cool if they were literally chopped off at the bottome, so the whole body's set lower into the chassis - DTM style.
  11. Karmann's Corrado might have been recognised by VW as not being thoroughly their car, even if badged VW or am I talking utter sh*t? :cuckoo:
  12. Not sure what to say other than, at least you're okay. :ignore: Bet the nugget still drives better than mine tho  ...keep us posted.
  13. 8) Bet it doesn't show up on radars... Does Batman hv one of these?
  14. remember goin to see this in 1985 ? saw it twice in one day ,such a great film. wanted to see the ian jury film but never got round to it , saw it on dvd last week 10/10 but i am a big fan ! http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/features/exclusive/ Shocking - just shocking. Doesn't Stoltz have red hair too?
  15. Hi fla is that fold-out Kenwood touch screen? Just wondered 8)
  16. Thinks  of all the rags I'd go through... Only good if your car's in limbo dirt state, otherwise it's the norm couple of buckets full from me.
  17. BTTF - on big screen to celebrate 30 years. Still as good as when I last saw it... 9/10 ..."How about a ride Mister?!" (Jennifer) Yes please.
  18. P.S. cheers for your views/experiences regarding this subject... still 1/2 & 1/2 on the AG Renovator but might just take Conker's approach... A case of trying and seeing what works best at the end of the day (literally - wish I had a garage). :)
  19. Mmmm sexy Tornado red bonnet I don't think... (Driver's Front wing & door are in similar state.) Something to add to the "to do" list next week pending weather. Will begin with hand buffs of AG renovator, unless anyone chips in with a "Noooo use SRP instead!" type of thing... :pale: (Actually all plastic panels/bumpers, rear spoiler etc. are equally "erm") :pukeright: ...which is about right for age. Also can't get the knack of claying the car - takes ages and I get tonnes of cr@p sticking to the damn stuff, including that red T-cut wax I layered on it an age ago... :brickwall:
  20. Today - all door wells are sparkly clean. Engine bay needs doing next. My VR will look virgin spec one day... Pics will follow soon... Also after years of thinking it was Tornado red, it's actually Flash! "LP3G"
  21. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=93905 Found this thread... so might start by hand instead... A usual novice would try doing the whole car in a day, but think I'll just do approx 1/2 the bonnet for now.
  22. THX 1138 - Seen it before many-a-time. Watched it yesterday & saw this thread. 7/10 ...put it this way, if Heat is the best film I've ever seen, I give that 8/10 so THX isn't too bad.
  23. Manchester to Heathrow = 0 Manchester to Anglesey = 0 Manchester to Sunderland = 0 Now & again I sea a valver, either on the way to my garage (black), or local Tesco (red), or VR6 after finishing work (red). So  to anyone who drives 'em.
  24. Just wondering - from AG's website it says to use parallel strokes when applying the renovator polish - If possible could I use a 'rotary' polisher instead at very light pressure and slow rpm?
  25. So where do you put the ignition key? Still has a steering wheel so it can't be that good.
