The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Veearrhsix replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
18 years of sh*t, Swarfega'd & steamed cleaned away within the hatch-door-well today, in the wind a drizzle... Needs another going over tho... Pending better weather. :brickwall: -
Where to find your nearest corrado
Veearrhsix replied to Alex_G60_Fanatic's topic in General Car Chat
 Veearrhsix K reg @ M33 would do nicely  -
Yesterday cleaning the car, neighbour comes up drive for a closer look, opens door and sits in it. :| (I think he wants [strike:3qfmzz79]one[/strike:3qfmzz79] mine)
-
If it's any consolation, mine does the same. It goes away once it's warmed up. Have you checked your oil?
-
Will do but 1st, just had a look on ebay and they're called door latch striker pins? Are they something VW dealership will still stock?
-
Would like to resurrect this thread as just wondered what the white 'plastic wraps' are called that surround the shaft of these pins, as mine are worn and could do with being replaced. :| Any ideas? Cheers, Chris.

Thoroughly cleaned the passenger side door well and internal hinge area with elbow grease, jet steamer and Swarfega... (slowly cleaning my way round car tho)... Other side next week pending weather. -
I didn't get to the end - not even half way but I get the gist - bless'er :| :brickwall:

My neighbours (a couple) wanted to know if any of my cars were for sale (never really spoke to them before for 2+ yrs) Both walk up drive while I'm mowing the lawn. The fella knew without prompt what my Corrado was (it's been under a cover for 1yr+). Both from Poland, he's got one back at 'home'. Asked me if it was a 3.2? I said no 2.9. Said they're really nice cars. Told them they couldn't have it. The woman's learning to drive, wanted my Focus tho, and the gist is they've noticed I 'look after them both' and knew they'd be reliable. Bollox - me? I just top up the engine bits, tyres & clean them OCD style. They left quite disappointed... and it felt good.

Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE
Veearrhsix replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
Erm got a blonde Q... but say if the handles are less springy as in, I pull and not much happens on both doors (so got to yank :brickwall: to open), can this thread solve the issue also? :| -
Christine! I had a dream I sold both cars and bought some brand new Audi thing on finance :norty: There is a strange attachment to mine, but I think we can speak for everyone here really. It's not a perfect car - far from it, and neither are folk. And like other folk, what we lack in some areas we redeem in others beyond expectations too, which is probs why the rado is regarded more personal, than just an everyday car - more like part of the family. Sounded like the voice out of the Wonder Years then... ie. I have a daily mk1 :pukeright: Focus, and it's quite reliable (loyal), but it's average in every bahloody way. The rado isn't (still SORN'd tho).

Oh the connotations of reading 'my parents had one' and 'old Volvo'. Sure you're not getting offended rado-steve? :D Indeed my dad also had one in der '80s - it was big, solid an' brown. :)

It's Friday..a silly discussion on carpark dings etc
Veearrhsix replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Got it. In future just write something on a post-it note on the lines of "Logic exists for those fortunate and wise enough to recognise it and use it. Best of luck - and no, I sincerely mean that... Oh and try to have a nice day." -
Re. today's banner pic - There's a nugget, a blue, a black, a silver (huge petrol leak underneath it) :camp: and another silver all parked in a line facing the left direction in a rural scene... Q. What do white letters mean/spell on their bk passenger windows?

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Veearrhsix replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Sat and stared at it, :brickwall:  wondering if I should get rid of the 'wreck' in most people's eyes. :pale: -
Re. previous disgust for this ad & YouTube comments - Yeah, we're obviously not going to be too happy with this, but VW would've been asked for permission surely... So if anything it's their fault. Just think of the other 'defunct models' they could've picked tho. The fact kids are chuffing away on Mc burgers & Mc fries in a Corrado must imply the car's credible too. Not sure about the bears tho.

At least yours works  £££££££... turns and looks at car.

Red VR6 Corrado again - Same one I saw last week (reg last 3 letters AVM), going south towards Irlam on A57. (Might hv been going to Awesome GTI) You were pushing a slow little Japanesey thing when you ran out of road... Nice car... (Yours that is). Oddly enough from Manchester, drove to London and back over the weekend and didn't spot one single Corrado.

Tuesday morning 08/06/10 After around after 7am-ish Waiting at the traffic lights between Macdonald's & Regent Road Manchester Sainsbury's Saw Tornado VR6 K reg (might hv had OVM or OVL - there was a V in the last 3 letters anyhow) I'd just finished nightshift I was opposite waiting at the lights in my silver Focus Yours was in good knick - Made me want to be in mine yer b*stard

:brickwall: It's sod's (plod's) law... They're some good cops and some not so very good cops out there - just like the rest of us eh. It's easy to hate the fuzz but not all of them are unfair. Like with everything else - let karma do it's thing :notworthy: and balance will in time, be restored. :hic:

Here's perhaps a blonde Q, but if the lifter starts to go, or is kaput, can either or, affect MPG?

What interests me is that he didn't point out you were 'not' wearing your seat belt before telling you about the mis-tax issue... Maybe mentioning this to whoever, might give you that fighting chance, as it's severity used as the latter, looks clearly like a desperate last chance excuse on his part. Sounds like a pride issue IMO. Best to come across calm, concise and diplomatic on your part tho, otherwise it might go against your favour.

Ok if you're going to keep your door handles standard, then keep the side strips on. Personally I'd like them to stay on.
