Hi guys, I'm assuming there are still a few Corrado's, VR6 specifically in N.Ireland? Anyone know of some good VW specialists out there, doesn't have to be a main dealer...just someone whose work is decent and labour price is fair. Also... ...what the HELL is going on with car insurance out there? I've heard of the joyriders in Belfast...but thats mental. Best I've come up with is about £650! Are there any meets too? Any info would be good. :D

So there is no real definitive position for the nuts/bolts? A simple case of trial and error I suppose? I've not slammed the brakes on since getting the suspension done, 2 days ago, I guess I'll just take it easy.

What tool should I use - a chainsaw or a blowtorch?

Cool cheers mate, I'll get on that. I did manage to find a Mk3 Golf heater controls + cables...but its from a LHD. Hopefully its still the same. -
Cheers dude, some good knowledge there. How do I 'fix' the brake bias valve? Take it to someone to adjust?

Excessive use of tyre shine = squeaking noise?
MonkeyVR6 replied to sprinterVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Surely not mate, I use shit loads of this stuff and I've never had any dramas. I too (show/event depending) spray loads of tyre shine into the wheel arches and I've never had any bizzare squeaking noises. -
Locking wheel nuts - which type, from where?

Thanks for the offer mate, but I'm after some brand new items. I don't have access to a Halfords out here, if I try the German offerings, it'll be much more expensive. -
Yeah, the same company is doing all four wheel alignment. I don't pick the car up till tomorrow.

Chaps, My car has been put at -70mm by my new Weitec suspension kit, rear beam is Powerflex bushes, wishbones are the Golf R32/Audi TT bushes, new rear top mounts, newish front top mounts, newish wheel bearings all round and new 300mm Momo Team steering wheel. So, what are any potential dramas with this? From November its my weekend car anyway. I've heard of the brake bias not working as well, but not sure how much faith to put in this. Tyre wear? Top mounts dieing?

Cool, thanks dude. There is no way I'd be able to explain - in German - this part without the aid of a part number! I need the bowden cable that connects to the air directional cog. -

So I just have to order a cable? OK, doesn't sound too hard...yet. Anyone got a part no? Are all 3 cables the same? -

Found them on DemonTweeks, cheers. Anyone know which exact type I need? Thread? Seat? Shaft Length? Head Size? http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Performan ... /1288/2700 Errrrrrrr... -
Just a quick one chaps, I'm moving to N.Ireland, and after hearing various horror stories, I've decided to invest in some locking wheel nuts for my standard '95 VR6. Anyone know where to get some good ones and what type? Cheers! :D

Guys, I'm also having dramas with my heater controls, its f'kin' e-m-o-t-i-o-n-a-l. My 'issue' is that the cog which controls where the air blows (face/face+feet/feet/windscreen) is stuck and won't turn onto the face, it'll work on the others. Took me a while, but I managed to take apart most of the centre dash and heater controls, but nothing appears to be broken, it just won't turn. Am I wasting my time taking this to VW to fix? Whats the Passat heater controls modification? The link doesn't work anymore. :cuckoo: -
Sorry mate, I couldn't comment on the price, I'm the guy who has his mates do the mechanical work or just pays VW to do it! I replaced both my drop link ends this year, but I can't remember the price - if they need doing, then for the sake of £40 I'd think it was worth doing. Don't know how much the labour would be if you got hte garage to do it?! Maybe a couple of hours max? Considering that its £95ph at my local (UK) based dealership it could add up quickly.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT These are the ones I bought mate. Not had a chance to fit them yet...I'll let you know!

I would never, ever buy a car from Birmingham.

Now thats why I don't take my pride-and-joy, costs-me-bucks, Corrado VR6 round "da 'ring". Fact.

Whats the beef with Toyo's? I've always found them to be intense in the dry and almost just as good in the wet.

141.7mph / 228kph...then pulled an emergency stop! Having your ABS kick in on the Autobahn will pucker up your bumhole.
-
Just thought I'd let people know what VW still do this part at the dealership. They do it in either RED or GREEN illumination and it costs €5.06. I ordered mine today.

How much for a keyring, set of dust caps and a dipstick all in purple and including p+p? I've seen there has been some problems with delievery before...but I hope that was just a one off as I think the products themselves are fantastic.
-
Do these also come in brown?
-
Still trying to get hold of a set of these. Anyone know if you can still get them at the dealership?
-
I take it these are no longer available then?
-
Anyone got the part number for those mats? I'm going to try my local VW garage first.
