mate i think that where the petrol carbon canister breather goes ive just got a pipe coming off it with a bolt jammed in the end to seal it do a search on petrol carbon canister removal on the wiki or this forum how this helps stu ... -

i was once told that fitting a performance clutch put extra stress on the gearbox due to it doesnt "give" so much hence was told to stay with the standard clutch unless you upgrade the gearbox aswell dont know how true it is as i sold the car before going that route :shrug: im sure someone will correct or agree on here there alot of very clever people to "tap" knowleadge off here :clap:

sounds to me like spark plug i had the same problem fit wr6dp0 bosch items (check the part code not to sure on that ) i get only 5mpg on a very cold morning on a short joruney !!! the car never gets off "choke " and the mfa has been know to play up its best calculating via petrol in to miles done the g60 has 2 temp senders i belive one could be shot replace both (some will comfirm this) yes its normal the G60 is a light car with alot of power and torque from the charger if you can get the power down on the road your out strip most hot hatches 0-60 is about 6.5 secs in standard trim if yours is modded which it sounds like it is you will be quicker welcome to the ownership of a corrado its a love hate one as most will tell you on here there a great little sport car when they run right and a right pain when they dont hope this helps stu ..

welcome to the world of pain and pleasure matt the g60 is a great tool pisses of novas no end but you have to suffer alittle for it sound like you have ignition problems take all 4 plugs out rest them on the top rocker cover and turn it over with a friend watch to see if all 4 plugs sparks after that its fueling ?? do you have an a dodgey alarm fitted cutting the ignition feed ? as for the told you so tell them to eat dust when you get it working !!!! also when was the charger rebuilt as they need rebuilding every 30k or 20 k depending on the pulley size id hate you to get it working then the charger pack up cheers stu ..

got a kit from G-werks its a good kit all pipes and plate and rad included its a bitch to fit as the G60 has no space to work around the oil filter fitted the rad next to the water rad just had to drill some holes in the plastic trim to let air in to the rad temps dropped by about 20 deg C and it cools down alot quicker after a spirted run no more sitting outside your house engine ticking over for 15 mins waiting for oil to cool down stu .,.

ohms !! as long as you get a reading it should be ok any muiltmeter should measure ohms i had to clean the connectors up on mine before it would read as mine skipped aswell stu..

sounds like ignition to me mate check dizzy/coil / coil earth /plugs /leads etc etc could also be a dodgey alarm system grounding the coil ? cheers stu...

i agree getting an engine to flow /use the avalible boost is better than making more boost to over come the restrictions of your head intercooler ect plus the charger will always last longer stu .. -
i take it youve got the bosch jet tronic thing ?? has your air box got a big flappy paddle thing in the top ?>

so did mazda with the rotary wankle engine ran it at 16,000 rpm for 2 weeks but nothing broke !!! pity they cant make the tips last more than 20k grrrrrr stu ..

properly got about 20k ish left on it i was told it was rebuild by g-werks 10k ago so it should be fine its runing a standard intercooler which i have heard is prone to leaking out the plastic bottoms look like saving for a nice alloy fmic then

just dug this out from the knowlegde data base if mine making 1860 its just over a standard charger >>?? its got a standard head aswell so its not flowing more put reduce charge psi unless VW out of the kindness of there hearts flowed my head for free !!!! USA EURO Hg(#'s of boost/vacuum) Comments 15 200 -23.7 55 400 -17.8 90 600 -11.9 127 800 -5.9 148 1000 0 (Atmosphere- ala no boost, charger is bypassed) 172 1200 2.9 psi (Your charger is dead or big boost leak) 192 1400 5.8 psi (Your charger is about dead or big boost leak) 211 1600 8.7 psi (Your charger needs new apex strips or big boost leak) 228 1800 11.6 psi (Great for stock pulley, Probably needs new apex strips if 68mm pulley) 242 2000 14.5 psi (Great for 68mm pulley on stock charger) 255 2200 17.4 psi (Great for 68mm pulley on heavily ported charger, hold on to your ass fast!!) 255 and up folks need to be careful with fueling, as the programming maps end at about 242 on the ecu. Dynotuning, and air/fuel/egt gauge, and custom chip recommended

Hi people i wonder if anyone can shed some light on this in mfa speacial mode option 2 on pos 2 hg readouts flat out is 2nd i max 1860 yet near as damm it flat out in 3rd 1940 does it just give more boost due to more air rushing though the intercooler making it denser ? also is 1860 ok for a stage 4 jabba sport charger on a 68 pulley ive done the searches and generally it seems abit low ? im open for ideas!! cheers stu

most people on here think its not worth it due to the decreased refurb time 68 you need to service every 30k 65 you need to service every 20k plus the fact you not surposed to hit max revs with a 65 due to its spinning very close to the max it can do you would be better off with a nice "fmic " and a big valve head a cam and red top injectors as greens will only do 200 bhp and with that added to your car you will be pushing close to 200 bhp hope this helps stu..

bosch wr6po plugs are one to go for trust me they are abit hard to get hold of but a few places do them on the net (g werks,midland vw,the local VW dealers might ? trade part suppliers.co.uk) dont do what ive done and paid £12per plug for bosch super 4 which according to europarts are the same ,know it starts on 2 or 3 cus it fouls the plugs till they get warm (a couple of seconds ) stu....

only 175 at the wheels i have though you would have had more ive never known a 70 bhp lose at the wheels the clutch must have been slipping like crazy nice engine spec thou
