the ecu is mount right hand side by the front winscreen as you stand looking at the car its the only pipe on there the other is the wiring loom plug its usually black pipe with a cotton covered brading

change the fuel relay number 30 i belive i had the same problem pulls fine under load then cuts out off load

yeah its easy stick one probe lead on the battery earth terminal and probe various bits of the engine /bodywork the ohm meter should read 0 ohms or as close as say 3 ohms max and do touch the probe leads togethier to check the meter zeroed first you will probly find it was the corroded battery post that giving you grief stu ...

id say more like earthing problems opening your car door grounds your interior light hence making it come on id check battery earth and engine bay earths

hi guys just throwing my penny in the pot i worked it out once as i was considering it on my old xr4x4 2.9 v6 and it worked out roughly about £1600 to convert and was going to take about 11000 miles to recoupe the cost of the conversion being as i do about rough 3000 a year was going to take over 3 year to reclaim not taking into account raise in petrol or the fact you still have to fill it with petrol to start it each morning and the fact if you run out of gas you will be using petrol which really throws the caluations out cheers stu ..

lol your lucky on a good day my g60 reads about 25 mpg (steady 80mph ) although it did read 6mpg today so im guessing a sensor playing up but god knows which one stu ..

i found it so im sharing it cus this one a good one relay 30 (fuel relay )main pin to the contacts had fractured the soldier connection on the little board inside but heres the killer the copper brad that connects to the relay from the board rest across the same pin hence making a intermitent connection so on full power it makes it cus of the surge of force but off load the car abit more loose so it was flopping about hitting and missing making a connection what a bas***d lets hope this is it !!!!!! cheers stu ...

brand new lamba probe only last year, brand new plugs two years ago and a brand new set of magcore leads aswell

idel switch is fine as i click it with my hand when half open thottle and changes the engine running so it must be working although it could play up i guess i take it there peanuts from the dealers i might just change it any ideas how to check the isv valve ?? cheers stu

my car is a G60 stage 4 with the sns anti lag chip ok strange one only misses on tick over never on full load acceralation so also when your on over run (hard accleration then your coasting back down to a sensible speed) but its intermitent ive checked the air pot and its bang on 500 ohms but dont know the age of it can these play up break down ? i know ive got a sensor playing up some where any ideas its driving me silly cheers stu ..

well your main draw will be your subs are you running your 6x9 off your headunit as a rough guess look at the fuse rating on the side of the amp thats max amps can be draw the correct way would be to clamp measure your main power cable with a dc clamp meter and measure the average amps draw over a selection of music heavy bass draws more amps fast dance less best thing to do is carry one of them battery boost packs from haliford (about £70-90) so if you do flattern it you can at least jump it off the pack to get home i carry one anyway such a life saver if you leave you lights on by accident nothing worst than calling the AA out for a flat battery or runing around to see if someone has jump leads and will give you a jump stu ..

depends on its Ah rating Ah = amps per hour hence if your system is drawing 50amp and and your Ah rating it say 150ah you will get 3 hours before its flat someone correct me on this pretty sure thats how it works stu ..

mine was simply the tail gate seal where it joins at the bottom by the lock had the connecting piece missing so i just filled it with silicon seal and smoothed it to the same shape as the rubber sorted it out no probs after the smell went !!!! stu....

cant fault the pads i had red stuff on my old serria 4x4 pulled her up every time on a sprited run so i bought the ebc discs dot and grooves as well but wrapped them after a couple of months so they may have changed the design know but i wouldnt touch the discs i went for black diamond grooved disc and predetor pads on my G60 they seem fine stu .. as for sourcing ebc pads "des shelly propshafts" wolverhampton was always very good on price google it for the number

bearing are are usually whiring noise arent they plus the fact once they start making noise they dont stop this comes and go ? cv joints knock on full lock ? have check the wheel nuts so like i say im abit losted ?

this is a werid one i run it by you i have a knock knock knock sound sometimes from the passage wheel area (well it sound like its there ) but it comes and goes but also speeds up and slows down with the road speed when i have it and i only heard it at low speed ? tried all the normal stuff wheel off and full lock and driving driving over speed bumps and pot holes but not joy is does have a mind of its own ??
