Front subframe bolts are: M12x1.5x82 42mm shoulder M12x1.5x65 25mm shoulder M12x1.5x78 38mm shoulder M10x24 full thread and a picture for reference. -

I have a VR6 gearbox code:CCM for sale, it has 103K miles on it and is in very good condition, this was purchased from a friend so I could build up my lower final drive box, and still drive my car around. It comes with shifter tower and speedo encoder. £50 collection or I can put it on a pallet for a courier to collect. Matt

I will measure them up tomorrow when I'm down my workshop. But bear in mind these are flange head bolts with under head serrations shoulder bolts with a dog nose feature for location, so not the normal fasteners from a supplier, but it is always worth trying to find a second source for fasteners. Matt

Powder coating all day long for me. Powder coating is a polymer based coating which with the correct preparation will outlast painted finishes, it is also more durable to scratches and stone chips as it has a thicker coating. Matt

The wishbone bolts held torque well, easy to undo when I removed it. I did what you will be doing, purchased a second sub-frame to powder coat, makes it alot easier to swap over in one hit rather that waiting a week with the car in the air. Matt

Depending on what you mean by O/E, O/E VW dealer prices you will be walking out the parts department with a saw bum, or O/E equivalent, you can pick up discs and pads for around £100. I picked my 288's from a Fabia VRS for £55 delivered, they were only 2000 miles old.

Yep, the difference is night & day between the original setup and the 288's, as the 288's have a greater pad area, they're fine for every day use and occasional track use.
