Not sure on the make but it looks to be more than just a 'back box'. Looking at the photo you can see stainless steel discolouration from the first box back.and the mid box has been deleted, looks a good quality system.

I have a Jetex on my VR6, the only difference in the tip apart from a little larger, is it has an inward rolled lip apposed to the straight cut standard tip.

You can run Golf mk3/4 or Fabia 288mm discs & calipers behind 15" rims without any issues. I used to run Audi S2 twin pot calipers with no problems. pads and disc material will have an effect on fade. One tip I have for track use is, bleed each caliper ' only by a pistons worth' before each session, as this will displace the fluid from behind the piston that sees the greatest temperature change and it helps to reduce the fade feel.

The top mount bearings wear out quicker as most of the shock is transmitted through the bearing and not the top mount bush, because of the increase in the stiffness of the bush. They're perfect for track use but for normal british road driving, I would stay with standard top mounts.

Here's a quick guide to enter a part number. It is the same for ETKA 6 aswell, just the user interface is of an older design. hope this helps Matt First screen shot is the first window you come to as you open the programme Second screen shot, click on the 'lined paper' looking button it's the bottom left button in the menu collection of buttons at the top right of the screen, then click on 'search' then 'part number' this will take you to the third screen shot. Third screen shot, is where you type in the part number, don't worry about spaces between the letter and numbers. you can search in the 'Term' option once you have selected a model and main group to search any other questions please ask, and i'll do my best to help. Matt

At the end of the day it most probebly comes down to money, why include all the options on the standrad model? then the dealers have no optional extras for potential punters to purchase on top, and make some extra revenue. my thaughts. typically OEM's will produce an item for the after market sales with a 7 fold mark up. But it would have been nice if the corrado did come with recaro's as standard as it was at the time their premion model on sale. Matt

NEW Group Buy - VR6 Polyurethane engine mounts (PAYMENTS PLEASE)
MattPc replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Bit of an unusual question, but do you know what the shore hardness is on these mounts? Cheers Matt -
That connector going into the TB pipe is for cold climate cars, it's just a dummy connector shell in the UK cars. that intake hose is the same as the golfs, seemed that some corrado's have them aswell. Idle stabilisation valve may need looking at for bad idle problems.

Kev, Be carefull with the 'cheaper' Clarke welders, the wire feed drive are not as good as the more exspensive range they do, I have a Murex tradesmig & Migatrinic Pilot ac/dc Tig welder at the moment. I have had clarke 90, 135, SIP 105, feronius 230 & Esab 165 mig welders and Lincoln V205-t tig welder. If you can, I would go for the 'upper' range of welders, as these include other features such as spot timers and burn back adjustment. Gas also makes a huge difference in the quality of the gas sheilding, Argon C02 mixture is a good all rounder, Chris loder welding supplies in Colchester does a good range of Air products gases at good rates. let us know if you need a hand as I'm only just outside of Braintree. bit late now, but you could've swapped the impeller housing onto the old motor body, it's a magnetic drive, so really easy to do. Matt

Last August I seeing 86-92 Deg C on a motorway run compared to 94 - 102 Deg C with no cooler. On track I would see 112 Deg C tops compared to 128 Deg C without cooler the previous year at the ring. I run 10w50 Morris X-RPM competition oil, it's good quality oil. The compressor is a vortech V9-F
-
Here's a few pictures for reference, i kept the origional water to oil cooler in the system, using a thermosatic sandwitch plate with pirtek rubber hoses and an 11 row x 235mm cooler. I made a cover with 4 large holes in, and i just cover the holes up one by one as the ambiant temperature drops and vise versa. Matt
