  1. Looks nice 8) Does it look a lot more purpley in the sun, and almost black in the shade? It looks like Dark Burgundy Pearl to me, like mine :D What year is it?
  2. Deffo mate, but its time to move on. Nothing looks as good as a C though, thats the big problem Im having at the mo :(
  3. Not quite, just a nice Burgundy colour :D Its a good job but there are a couple of little bits Im not entirely happy with, so I'm going back tomorrow. However, he did do the front grille and handles too. He's also still got my headlight surrounds and rear plate suround there in paint, and he's done all the extra's for free too. Some pics of the new paint below.
  4. SOLD mate, providing he gets his arse in gear and sells his  viewtopic.php?f=12&t=59190&hilit=
  5. Ive had the front end painted, the delocked door handles painted, and the new rear plate surround too 8) I'll get some pics up over the next few days. If James (Mystic Storm, the new owner) hasnt collected by the weekend then Im hoping to show her off at Tatton Park for my last outing in her :(
  6. I want one too, and that idea ^^^ is a good one too ;-)
  7. Leads, plugs and coil changed in last 6 months. MAF changed a year ago. Im going with lambda, bank 1  Im also still struggling to see how the 2.0 can be classified as a GTi!!!!!!     It has to be "THE" worst ever GTi!!"
  8. Awesome work that man!!! Not only do you have a sexy C, but it'll also be a fooking quick one!!! Nice one 8)
  9. If you read from the start you'll see
  10. I do too, by the time you hit 50 you have to be in 3rd, whereas in my C I can be closer to 70 :D
  11. I have one of each, but as John-M is doing above, my C has a 4mo engine (Ive sold it now, but I still have a few more weeks driving yet 8) ) Anyway, the 4mo is a good drive and quick, and handles well, and feels more modern and better built than the C, but the C is a different animal altogether. It wasnt meant to be like a Golf in the way it drives, handles or the build etc and is a more raw car, whereas the Golf is a bit more refined. I do like the Golf, and especially on long journeys its more comfortable, but to rag around the bends, the C wins every time. So, it depends what you want from the car to be honest.
  12. Can someone lock this thread, remove that link and banish that man please????!!!!!  Only kidding, but that thing is UUUURRRRGGGGGEEEEERRRRRLLLLLEEEEEEE!!!!!!
  13. No they shouldnt!!! There is only ONE Corrado  (ok theres a few small changes between early and late, but there is more than one mark of Scirocco already) The Scirocco is in Auto Express this week too, may have to purchase a copy: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoe ... rocco.html
  14. Sorry for posting about a MK4 on here mods, but the MK4 forum is so bloody slow its untrue  and more people here seem to know what theyre talking about than the other places anyway  Anyway, my mate has a 2.0 GTi MK4 and is having some issues with it. Here are the codes: VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N Control Module Part Number: 06A 906 018 ED Component and/or Version: 2.0l R4/2V MOTR HS V04 Software Coding: 00031 Work Shop Code: WSC 00078 3 Faults Found: 16518 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: No Activity P0134 - 35-00 - - 17536 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean P1128 - 35-00 - - 16523 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S2: Response too Slow P0139 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent There is a thin (3-4 mm)pipe at the front top of the engine which feeds backwards into the intake manifold, and it is loose. If I pull it off I can hear the air being sucked in, and the engine runs a bit smoother. Not sure what it is or does though?????? The Lambdas are reading 0% and 3.9% constantly too. Anyone got any ideas? I think the lambdas could be knackered, but that pipe could be the cause, but Im not sure what it does.
