You should listen to the Baron. We've both done the wide wheels thing with rado's and his advice is spot on so I won't add anymore to it. His advice is solid bud. :) 205/40 or 215/35 with rolled arches are a minimum requirement to run 17x9's. You could get a 225 on with the right offset but you'll need to do proper metal work on the arches. You'd be surprised as to just how unaccommodating corrado arches considering how big they look! Btw, with regards to your above comment; there are rado's out there running 11's out back so anythings possible if you're willing to spend the time and money on arch work.

Tyre shine... turtle wax I think, tis a green bottle.

Plastic covers look frickin ugly, like bonnet bra's. Get laminx, you get a nice glossy finish so your lights looks less aged too.

Not a bargain no. Genuine 40k I'm pretty sure it is. With the money you'll spend bringing it back to a proper standard you could buy a mint sub 100k vr and have change.

Same here. My first 16v had weitec's and to date is by far the best handling car I've owned. Second one was on ebay coilys and it was beyond terrible in every aspect. Both my old VR's had FK Konigsports and they're just brilliant for road use imo. My first 16v had the same problem with the wheels poking an uneven amount, nothing I changed sorted it. Wishbone bushes were fine!

Great work bud. It's nice to see a documented build of you taking the car to the next level!

Hey guys, spotted these on the talkaudio, pretty decent price really. These are designed to sound good off standard headunit power so would work well for someone not looking for a full on audio install! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hertz-DSK-130-120W-5-25-Component-Speakers-/271145959320?clk_rvr_id=445774975917&afsrc=1 Once again, I'd like to mention they're not mine! He mentioned on Talkaudio that he'd take £42 posted from a talkaudio member so drop him a message through ebay saying someone from TA referred you and hopefully he'll honour that price! Cheers

You need calipers, carriers, lines, disks and pads. Just find a mk3 being broken and nick the bits. Obviously you can use the disks/pads depending on condition but I'd rather buy new! Oh and buy fresh brake lines lol.

It's a shame mate but I guess sometimes its just for the best! Best of luck with whatever you get in the future!

Inlet looks good, your bays quite tidy in general tbh! New washer bottle would help brighten things up a bit too. I forgot how low VR sumps are!!

It wasn't personal mate relax lol. I know Kev's always used KW's finest and I personally use Weitec/FK konigsports (koni shocks). Sh*t brands; I think not. On a seperate note, why did you break your VR? I followed your blog type thing on PH and thought it was quite remarkable what you did with the rado tbh. Colour was bad ass too!

This looks excellent on the BBS'. What's the width/offset??

New here - buying a rado, 2.0 or vr6? mpg diff question.

Dude they drink the same amount unless your unleashing the vr in which case the extra 50hp will cost you a bit more in fuel. Obviously there are some out there that drink more. Just buy the best example you can and avoid focusing too much on aesthetics as rust and dents etc tend to be easier to sort imo! -

Hey bud, I haven't owned a rado in a while but i've had 2 16v's one 12v vr6 and one 24v vr6. The 24v was pants. In every aspect other then low down torque lol. The 12v vr and both 16v's averaged 35-38 mpg when cruising between 50 and 80. Around town I'd get between 20 and 25mpg but I live in london and have a heavy right foot. If you get a decent one they really are good on fuel for what they are. I can't remember off the top of my head but mixed driving with with a light foot would give around 100-120 miles to £20. Feel spirited and you can easily get less then half that. So, mpg wise no difference between them. As far as maintenance costs go both my VR's cost me alot more to run but that's mostly down to labour costs as I didn't have the time nor the confidence to tackle work on the vr. Reliability wise, again both my 16v's were better cars then my vr's and caused no problems in a couple years of ownership other then a coolant hose and distributor letting go on the first one. It's pot luck to some extent. I'm currently looking for another corrado and I'm stuck between a vr and valver for the above reasons as far as reliability is concerned. Past experience dictates buy a valver and enjoy it for what it is, just don't race anything or you'll lose lol. On the other hand the VR engine is just such a peach. Mmm and the noise! :) 4 pots are better round the twisty's though no matter what anyone says. -
lol, buy this one and sell what you don't need? It's cheap enough!
-
I did think the same but hey ho! Swampy, your corrado has FK konigsports with koni shocks. These are full on koni units.
-
I think it's best not to Rob as I don't really want the hassle of trying to sell it separately later. Sorry pal.

No sunroof!!!! I want! Non sunroof models are awesome lol. Nice work with the machine polisher.

Chin up mate, you'll be back sooner or later lol! Did it go to a forum member?
