I'm not going to read into your comments too much but when me and Jake did the deal the VR run fine. It was well documented in my thread at the time that the car caused me no end of grief but only when it was running right and had been for some time did I offer it up for Px as I still wanted a Rado but quite frankly didnt want the headache that I then associated with VR ownership (my valver was trouble free for 2 years). Even with the engine problems, I don't believe it actually let Jake down at any point (though I may be wrong) but upon diagnostic from DG he decided to go the full hog and get a 24v conversion. For a third of the cost he could've dropped in an OBD2 12v lump from a Mk3 which is what I'd have done had I known the engine was on its last legs which btw it certainly didnt feel like. In fact it pulled better then most other VR's I had driven!! Either way, its been looked after by the last two owners and has had a fair wack spent on it by both of us! Had it still been a 12v I'd buy it back as I've been looking for a well looked after DBP example for over a year. Glws Jake.

You'd be suprised. Once upto speed not much could shake my valver off on the twistys. Weitec's set pretty low (rear seriously stiff), dunlop rubber and a sub box acting like a balast/rear brace meant it handled superbly. I've not yet had a car that I could corner so fast in with that much confidence. On FK Konigsports the ride is far better but handling's no where near as sharp. If I were doing it again and the car wasn't a daily It'd be weitec's all the way.

What sort of ride do you want? I'm assuming you'll drop the car low. I've had FK Konigsports which ride really well and are nicely damped. If you want go kart handling though go for Weitec's but they do ride firmer.

Well, to update this thread 7 months later. Not one rado has caught my eye to date that I'd want to buy really. Search continues. In the mean time I've got this. 5.4 V8 Approx 360bhp and about 390 lb ft of torque. My fave bit: Yep need a new camera. Plans, not sure, tyres are shot so new rims are coming soon which inevitably means hitting it with the lowering stick. Oh and a bit more work to make the exhaust louder lol. Cheers

RIP Chris. I never met him but did speak to him on the forum a number of times when I was going through my oem phase. A true gent as everyone says with immense knowledge of corrado's. He will definately be missed by this community.

Either way it's only £24 but that wasn't the point in the first place. I doubt this will aftect his business at all. As a salesman he provides a great service but when he makes an error he then insults me like that. Ok so I bought some mdf speaker mounts off him for an impending corrado project. Anyway he quoted me a price for the mounts shipped, I payed it. Rest is here: Then this followed after I asked for a refund of my money. Basically he hadn't accounted for postage in the above price which was an additional $50. Now there's no way I'm going to pay that as I can get the mounts made for half that over here. Then this: Read it very carefully.. "But from your name I realise why you are the way you are.
