am i right in thinking its best not to leave the handbrake on, but leave it in gear to prevent the rear brakes seazing up?
-
thats about a 3rd of what I pay for my valver :(
-
looks like a nice example too!
-
yeah this has been posted before...the outside is god-awful but amazing workmanship, the inside (save for the door speaker grilles and 'music car brain' sticker) is fxxking beautiful
-
check the dizzy cap and rotor arm, i had loads of simular problems with mine which went away when i changed these bits.
-
thats crazy like a coconut!
-
the borbets are back! 8) looks really good mate, those rear lights suit it down to the ground.
-
little bodyshop in sunderland called 'abernethys'. It included sorting out all the little dents and rust spots, changing the front right wing (supplied by me) colour coded handles, washers and rear numberplate surround and fitting the eyebrow spoiler. click the 'take a look' link on my signature for some photos of it in progress!

crash, bang, wallop....S3 in for repairs!!
chrishill replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
quite right jedi, you always think of the perfect evasive maneuver after the event, much like stuttering at a pretty girl then coming up with 'the' line half an hour after shes walked away. -
cheers fella, I had it resprayed a few months after i bought it since it was mostly pink  Cost me about £700 all in if i remember rightly. Its not show standard on close inspection but it's a damn good job for the money I paid.

oof ya fecker! that could have been much worse! glad you're ok and its getting sorted, bet you had a few choice words for the driver... -
looks lower than 40mm to me mate, mines dropped 40 at the back..unless the front being higher is forcing the back down more? does it work like that? :S
-
woah..how low is its back end! 8)
-
might be a silly question... the rocco that in front of you for a while til he spins looks like he spins up the rear wheels to get back on track, then stops as he spots you. are my eyes playing tricks or were mk1 rocco's RWD?

My new engine - (progress pics)......update 16/05/05

Seems almost criminal to take it onto the road and get all that bling mucky! then again...seems criminal not to  -
Car at Stealth today (and now advice please)...
chrishill replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
What you're forgetting Jim, is that corrado's are like highly strung high maintenance girlfriends, they're only happy when you lavish attention and cash on them. You made the fatal mistake of drooling over the Octavia vRS and your cars now in a huff. -
azev's or borbets are a 'classic' choice, but C's do suit flat 5 spokers too, like the old kahn rsr's. Personally I like something with a dish since it compliments the 'fat' look of the C.
-
got a feeling they're called Caddys?
-
height looks spot on in that last pic!
-
look like some crude blue circles with arrow things coming off them, possibly added with M$ Paint?
-
heh - slighty bigger than 17's! it does look really smart though. I keep toying with the idea of a reiger grille and eyebrow spoiler, they add a very agressive edge to the front end...
-
i'd take them off if i was you, only slight problem i can foresee is that the paint underneith will be almost 'as new' and might not match the rest of the bodywork which will have faded, even if only slightly.

i got my 6mm ones from Euro Car Parts, IIRC they were about £20 a pair.
