I like your thinking biggerbigben, how nice would these look?? -edit- quick and dirty PS mock-up! (sorry bally)
-
that confused me for a second, thought you'd gone all supermarket sweep!

thats so unlucky mate, i feel for you, regardless of your 'DD is DD' statement. I'm sure everyone at some point or another has driven their car the morning after a big night out. I know I have, and I never really think about being over the limit the morning after. Its one of those things thats all too easily done and sadly, you're a victim of curcumstance. By the sounds of things the accident had little or nothing to do with your alcohol levels, but the law is the law and they're 'extra' strict at this time of year. As you say thankfully it wasnt any worse. How's the insurance stand on something like this? I guess they're not going to cough up? also, are you going to take the course that'll shorten the ban? had a scare this morning myself, front end went, i corrected it and the back slid out! thankfully it wasnt busy and i wasnt going that fast so I managed to recover it after a bit of wiggling down the road.

Do a search for 'ariel' as theres some answers to simular questions in other threads. IIRC it could well be something to do with the ariel base (assuming you removed the pointy bit and stuck a coathanger in the hole - not in the back of the headunit)

i agree jim, doesnt stop me getting pi$$ed at a chav driving a tin-shoebox keeping up with me though :( the corrado should just naturally whoop the saxo's butt, and the fact it doesnt proves to me there is no god.
-
being unable to loose a saxo is a regular annoyance for me, i hate the fact he'll go and brag to his mates how he's kept up with a corrado and they're 'not all that' thus tarnishing the C's reputation!

1.7 had 120ish bhp unless it was a racing one which had more like 150bhp
-
racing puma maybe? they dont look that much different to a standard one other than the phat arches! whats yours duffer?

its an odd one, before I got the C I was quite into the modified car scene in principle, but due to lack of funds not in practice. I picked the C because of the relativly low purchase cost compared to its benifits (more bang for your buck if you like). Most of the big stuff i've done to mine is through nessesity rather than choice, I just took the opportunity to improve on/ update the parts i was fixing to get the car a little more how I wished it was from the outset. A few cosmetic changes here and there to suit my tastes and I'm done. I'd 'like' leather but I've got no plans to do anything about it because i cant justify spending £800ish to replace an already perfectly good interior, I'd 'like' more power but at the end of the day its a valver and its a little pointless! I'd say my car is now finished in terms of major things and it's going to be a case of keeping it the way i like it from now on while I save for a VR or g60 and start all over again!

 thats close!! I remember walking back to a previous car to find a burly white van man using my bumpers as extra brakes while reverse parking...I didnt find out he was burly until after I started shouting...*gulp* -
needs lowering  looking 8) as fook mate, come a long way!

TBH a g60 around the 2k mark is going to need a bit of cash spending on it to get it right, most of the ones i've seen at that price have been tatty and needed the charger servicing or other things sorting out. I think your realistic options are to a) save a little more and get a good one or b) spend your 2k on a good valver as they're generally in better condition in that price range. Personally I'd hang fire and save another grand or so for a good g60.

be nice to have a rundown of what everything 'is'. I'm declining to vote on the grounds that i only understand things that look pretty -
has yours got the wiring behind the door covers already? mines a 1990 and doesnt...I'd be interested to see how you get them there if they're not aleady as its something I've thought about doing but not been able to work out how!

i didnt spot that jim, eagle eyes! not sure i like it, looks like its just been put back the wrong way rather than being intentional, but hey, just my opinion! -
only thing with the red tints is you have to make sure the lights still shine the right colours behind for them to be legal, I'm not sure if the reverse light counts or not? someone will be able to clear that up i'm sure, but I know from past experiance with other cars if you tint them as much as dennis.be has, they wont shine right and you could have problems come MOT time....they do look the nuts though! I like the 'g60' touch on dennis's...nice

BLING! like new mate :D -
this should give you an idea of how the red/smoked would look on yours. The red looks a bit orange in that pic, they're properly red in the flesh (or plastic!)

already got some 6x9's with huge magnets, 12" sub and an amp along with a spare borbet, a 2ft breaker bar and a pillow (to protect the sub when i stick stuff in the boot with pointy edges) so f**k knows how high it'd be if i took that lot out! :D
